access violation

I have downloaded the game Law & Order The Vengeful Heart. I get it
downloaded but when I try to bring it up to play I get the following
message-error:access violation at 0x005bab02 (tried to read from 0x00000010)

When I downloaded the game I turned off all security programs, so I am now
lost! If anyone has any idea please let me know.

Have you contacted the folks who made the game to ask them if they have any
suggestions?
