My Sony laptop originally had a OEM version of Windows 8. It has since been upgraded to Windows 8.1.
I would like to replace the hdd with a ssd.
How do I go about this without having a physical key - ie Windows 7 sticker with key code?
I wish to avoid going through cloning and want to install a fresh copy of Windows 8.
So far Sony have been unhelpful in their response to my querey and Ive found nothing on the windows/microsoft websites.......I dont want to fork out £100 for a software licence I have already paid for!
