If you are also upgrading from an AGP to PCI video card and cost is a
determining factor, I would recommend you give a hard look at the cost
comparisons of Direct X10 compatible video cards. The price drop of these
cards in the near future might be more of a consideration when it comes to
what it is you are going to get for and when your dollars are spent

I'd probably buy the quad core myself. Depending on what you have at the
moment, I seriously doubt you'll be disappointed whichever one you go for in
the end.
the new 6550 and 6750 are the "bang for the buck" intel processors to
beat. $170 and $190 today, that should go down after the intial surge of
demand subsides...

They're nice and in the end that is more to my budget, but the guy was
talking about the fancier stuff I think.
