I have a 2nd hd "D" which I mainly use for my games, itunes file, etc. It
was working fine 24yr ago. Went to play Wow tonight and I get the message
that it can't be found. It does not show up under My Coputer or under Disk
Manager. Is there some way to give it back its drive letter? I'm kinda at a
loss and can't get in touch with my IT guy this late at night. Thanks

If it doesn't show up in BIOS, it may have gone to hard drive heaven. Is
it connected to the same data cable as the primary hard drive.

24 years is a long time to expect any hard disk drive to remain working. At
least you can be grateful that you have had vastly more than you money's
worth out of it. It is highly unlikely that you will source a direct
replacement for it either. This might be time to upgrade to something
humongous (in storage) in comparison (though it will be physically much
smaller) and load your backup to it. You do have a backup don't you?

LOL - I meant 24 HOURS Ago! lol. Sorry. My IT guy is gonna look at it
later today -but I afraid its just dead. Thanks for responding.
