Help please,
I cannot do any Manual Windows updates - not sure if the automatic ones are working or not - above error code is stopping downloads.
I did Google it and apparently it is a common register error but cannot find a straight answer or the error code on the Fix it Windows site ( I may not be searching correctly)? Could load the Windows software fix patches- but it did not work.
You can pay for the software that says it will fix for about £20.00 or £30.00 pounds (free scan then you pay) from various sites, but if you pay and it doesn't work then it is wasted money.
I would prefer not to re load the OS as it is too much hassle to get anything back to how it current have my computer set up.
Tried doing a restore from a time back when i thought the updates were working, but no joy.
If someone could tell me is there a simple and safe way of fixing it.
