Good idea...

N3 over the years I have played with Opera but not recently as sooner or later I wind up hating the interface and options available. I know you probably hate Chrome but personally I really think it is the best browser and one of the reasons is that it updates itself as does java and flash player within it. I got used to its rather spartan interface because it is so steady.

A move to 4 gb ram might make a huge difference Mike. What is the ram capacity? Please tell us the model and make so we can see what is available.

Generally it is not believed to be necessary on smart phones or tablets unless of course we are talking about Windows phones or the Surface tablet.

As much as I hate it I would not advise removing it as there are times you will bump into some of the screens that get you lost and this is one of the ways out of such a situation.

any of the addons are Firefox addons but nothing required that I remember Pete. I uninstalled FF on all systems I put Pale Moon on without incident.

I tried everything N3 and the best one is pdf viewer.

That makes 2 of us.

Not my area of expertise I feel like we are missing a step somewhere Mike. What are the files actually? Obviously they are there but are unreadable.

N3 maybe it's time to learn to love Chrome. I am ready again. I tried to print a stock page this AM and could not print it again its a pdf.Usually that works it is printing out a check from a bank statement is the only thing that does not work in Pale Moon but your story is really scary, glad you got it back.

Yikes no way that can have anything to do with that N3.

I uninstalled it N3 as this is much more stable and other than the one issue with a certain type of pdf, have yet to have a single incident. FF was driving me bonkers until Pete (Starbuck) suggested trying this!

Right click up across the top of the browser and check "menu bar" and "bookmarks toolbar" keep trying different spots until you see them and check them as we now have to do in IE all the time as well.

Thanks Pete. I never put anything of any value in my Gmail or Hotmail accounts as I do not use or trust Webmail at all and Outlook has never been hacked. I wish more people would realize how exposed they are using free Webmail accounts. I use them for Internet signups and junk is all.

I have been ujsing the 32 bit version now for a few months and I like it a lot. The only thing I have an issue with is now and then a pdf file won't read...when you do addons be sure and do" pdf viewer" as it will get almost all of them. Unfortunately Foxit and Adobe are not available yet. Last Pass, All in one Gestures, Wot, Adblock Plus and Fire Ftp all work fine.

These prices are unheard of though...I bought a 480 I have absolutely no use for.

Oh I should have explained that there is a system fan connector right there under the video card but it does not work and I didn't feel like sending the board back for one system fan contact after putting the whole thing together and using it for a few weeks. Remember I added the back fan. Also the wires are together not loose like it shows as I said somewhere in here "before you say this" I had secured the wire to the 12v Psu connector to keep it out of the way of the case fan....also I cannot go under the video card because it looks like it only has a heat sink but it does have a fan as well. Overall it is a great system and much more solid than the Intel i-5 4670 was. I had issues with that since day 1 with occasional BSODs and freezes now and then. Is Delaware definite now? Well we surely can get together after you get settled.

Personally I fail to understand how these old fashioned Antivirus programs even sell any more. Buying any of those is like throwing money out the window. I mean they weren't much good when virus were around.

Interesting. I see I have it installed and am not aware of any problems.

I use the same password I dreamed up 14 years ago everywhere and add 1,2 or 3 0's depending on how many letters and numbers are called for and have never been hacked. I just see it as an annoyance and if the thing doesn't absolutely have to have one, it doesn't get one.
