  1. Hi, What is the OS U r using? is it 98 or 98se (Second Edition)? Coz there is no support for USB bus on WIn 98. And The maximum the fat 32 system of win 98 is 80gb if at all u r bios recognises this. Alex, Support Engineer SupportMinds http://www.supportminds.com
  2. Hi Ingoldm, U could try the new SRX - MIMO rtrs from Linksys/Netgear/D-link which extend the coverage area and dead zones if right channels are selected according to u environment. u could also use AP (Access Points) set hard wired into U r basic Linksys w/l router and extend them with ethernet cables (make sure the cable is less than 20-30 mts). Place them strategically on each floor. I ll try and make u wlan network setup diag. if possible by tomorrow and post it on this thread. Gotta go now If u need the model no.s of any products, ask I can suggest. Alex Support Engineer SupportMinds http://www.supportminds.com
  3. Hi, Please select the output device from the display properties -> (Advanced Tab) and try turning off the screensaver options and also turn off the power saving mode from the scr saver tab. Alternatively U could try downloading the latest CATALYST drivers for the video cards, if problem persists. Check out the ATI options in the CATALYST control center. I personally do not use ATI cards, I prefer nVidia, so my knowledge is limited... trying would not hurt....... :D ++++++++++++++++++ Try it out and keep posting ++++++++++++++++++ Alex, Support Engineer SupportMinds http://www.supportminds.com
  4. Hi, The log U ve pasted "Apr/07/2006 16:25:39 Drop TCP packet from WAN 64.233.161.99:80 67.167.32.112:60009 Rule: Default deny" is not about u r rtr resetting itself but a packet being dropped from the website with IP - 64.233.161.99 which is trying to access a service on port no. 60009, which u r firewall is denying by default. Solution -- Dont try this if u r not sure which website is trying to access U r network. It might be malicious attack or spyware -- Now that u have been warned :) U can try port forwarding or create a access rule on u rtr to allow 60009 and the error should stop. Hope u ll figure it out. 5. If the error appears in the black screen at boot up, try using a keyboard from the USB port - coz the PS/2 port might be bad ... try getting u r self a USB port keyboard. :) Alex Support Engineer SupportMinds http://www.supportminds.com
