  2. Hello everyone, I am trying to figure out why my system keeps rebooting on its own and powers back up with this message: "SATA Primary hard disk drive 0 failure" Strike F1 key to continue, F2 to run setup utility. I ran a HD test from the BIOs splash screen and it passed along with a succesful defrag. I have ran both my Norton and AVG virus programs along with my spy programs too. I am using a Dell XPS Gen 2 with the following config: Intel Pentium 4 3.2Ghz (800FSB) 1MB cache CPU Kingston Hyper X 512MB Dual channel DDR 433Mhz mem MSI Nvidia Geforce FX 5600 256MB DDR AGP 8X video Seagate 160GB 7200RPM 8MB buffer SATA Hard drive w/ Native Command Queuing S&B Audigy 2 ZS 7.1 sound card w/ IEEE 1394 480W Dual Fan power supply Window XP PRO SP2 Thx, Blue

  4. Hello everyone, My name is Blue and I am a software application tester in the telecom industry. I have worked on PC and mainframes for about 10 years and always learning something new or at least trying to about computers. That is what brings me here to find assistance with my home PC. I am trying to learn how to read error message in XP so I can troubleshoot and fix the problems myself. I look forward to learning and helping others with my knowledge when able. Thank you, Blue
