  2. Did you get your drivers from ATI or Dell ?? I noticed Dell does not list a Windows 98 driver, only an XP driver for the video. And when you say Windows 98, do you mean 98 or 98SE. . .
  3. OK, then you might wanna recheck the cables and the jumper settings on both drives first. If the BIOS isn't seeing it, then windows isn't either. Remember the master drive will go at the end of the 40 pin ribbon and the slave drive goes in the middle. Make sure both drives are set correctly with the jumpers on them. . .
  4. It means that the topic was moved to another category on the board, usually by clicking the topic anyway, you should be redirected to the new spot that the topic was moved to. . .
  5. It probably is just a minor software issue, but first I need to ask if the drive shows up in the BIOS. . .
  6. And so you won't have to search around much more, this should help too: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=307545 . .
  7. This is more then likely a trojan. OK, lets be real here.... he was downloading porn, and it said he could see the free movie if he installed a toolbar or some other type of feature. I can guarentee you 99% that this is the cause of all your problems. I guess, to start off, you can name the product that allegedly is supposed to rid you of this pest, and next, you might wanna go to your add/remove programs in the control panel and uninstall the program that the porn movie installed. It may have installed MANY different programs. . .

  9. What's happening, is your camera and card reader are supposed to show up as a removable device in your computer. The CODE 19 would fall under this category and therefore, you SHOULD be able to resolve this problem by following instructions from Microsoft, which are: This is from: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/125174/en-us#E04G0ABAAA Otherwise, you could also try: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q314060 if you had or have Roxio Easy CD Creator installed. Hope this helps !! Otherwise, the only other time this would come up, is if a COM port needs to be enabled in the BIOS, which I doubt is the case here. . .
  10. Ohh really, now are you trying to say an IT expert does not use rude language ?? That would be the ones who are getting paid money, I do this for free, and I will NOT govern my tongue on a site that I am operating on. Actually, my stuff works just fine, did from the beginning, no slot changing needed. And who said anything about trying multiple slots, I said to AT LEAST make sure the problem can be traced to the card Sure they do, it's just that some customers are too dumb to decipher the instructions, so they overanalyze the problem. CASE IN POINT. . .
  11. What do you want me to answer asshole ??? Do you want me to YET AGAIN explain to your retarded ass the same thing you just read ?? Here's your questions (shortened down): My answer: Don't like my response, find another board who offers free support, the card won't work, get over it. . .
  12. My mistake, I was wrong. I was thinking of a different setting. I apoligize, I am busy with multiple sites, if the card is a 5 volt card, then it WILL NOT WORK. That would be because alot of the manual are written by cheap labor and are usually shoody copy and paste jobs, Biostar is Notorious for this too So then why complain about 2 different boards that dont work with the card ?? Why not just move on and get a card that WILL work. I'm not sure of what kind of answer you are looking for, plus you seem to be posting then answering your own questions yourself. I can't give you any kind of info to make your motherboard magically work with the card. . .
  13. Could you please visit: http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html and run the advisor tool on your PC and give me the information in the "MULTIMEDIA" column on the right hand side so I can get a better idea of what we are dealing with here. And also anything that is listed in the "OTHER DEVICES" category. . .
  14. If the BIOS is freezing... and I am assuming this is on BOTH boards, then try accessing it WITHOUT the card plugged into the PCI port first, if it is STILL freezing without the card, then your problem is probably the memory sticks you are using. I just don't see why you would have problems with 2 boards unless the controller is bad, I highly doubt the problem is with the PCI compliance or revision of the boards. If your ide controller card is a 3.3v card, then that should be the end of the story there. It should simply work. Have you tried taking out a stick of memory if you have more then one ?? Have you tried getting into the BIOS with NO add in cards at all ?? . .
  15. I want to ask the obvious question here, because I am unclear if you had stated this or not, but have you switched the setting in the BIOS to LOWER it to the 2.1 standard that you need for the card ?? If I remember correctly, by just plugging in the device and knowing the motherboard is compliant will NOT always make it work, a lot of BIOS I have seen require that you change that setting to the lower specification manually to make the device work. . .
  16. Basically what they are saying, is instead of the revision being made to support ONLY 5v cards as part of the specifications, They keep the same type of connector (right side) which was originally intended for only 5v use, but do not specify it as ONLY a 5v(the amount of current it outputs) slot. At least, this is what I am understanding from all of this. . .
