  1. Hello, I have Win Xp with 2 hard drives. My fist HD is a SATA and that shows up as drive C: It is recognized as secondary Master. My second HD (my old one) is a UDMA connected to either the primary IDE or the secondary IDE connnector either as master or slave. It either does not show up at all, or I get the windows blue screen. I got a "Western Digital Data Lifeguard Tools" CD with my SATA, but when I load it, I get a "corrupted file" error msg. How can a commmercial disk have corrupted files? Jim

  3. Hello, I am having some trouble setting up my various hard drives. My Bios says IDE Channel 0 Master CD-ROM 56X IDE Channel 0 Slave Maxtor 5T040H4 IDE Channel 1 Master None IDE Channel 1 Slave 24x10 I have one SATA HD connected to the SATA 1 port on my motherboard, and then my old HD is slave (middle ribbon clip) and the CD-ROM is master (end ribbon clip) and that is connected to IDE 1 on my motherboard the CD R/W is connected as master to the IDE 2 on the motherboard, and the floppy is connected to the FDD on the motherboard. Could it be that I have a bad SATA HD? because that is not showing up anywhere on this BIOS list. Regards, JIM

  5. Hello, I have a matrox parhelia 3 monitor card. It sits slightly high in my 4X AGP slot, and the screw at the metallic end wont screw all the way down. There is about 1/8" gap. There is no signal to the monitor. This card works well in another PC. What should I do? I want to get some expert advice before I try to muscle it in or break the L shaped tab on the end of the video card. JIM
