I have a Dell Dimension L933r PC bought in 2001...it originally had WinME but I have way too many problems with it so.......I installed XP but it runs very slow and now the screen doesn't stop flickering on the top corner..... Should I upgrade the hardware or keep what I have and install Win2K Pro? If I should install Win2K, how do I delete WinME and WinXP before? Thanks, CS. :confused:

When I turn on my PC it takes me to a screen where I have to click on the user name before going to the desktop....the issue here is that when I do, it says the activation key is needed and when I click "ok" it says that there it's already been activated.....then it stays on the same screen and never takes me to the desktop. I have a Dell PC from 2001 which came with some MSN modem connection wizard...I never used it... I now have cable and I've tried to connect to the net... An error message keeps coming up when I try to make a new connection.... It keeps telling me the Icwconn1 caused an error in ICWUTIL.DLL. What am I doing wrong... Please help. Thanks, CS.

I'd like to erase EVERYTHING from my computer because it's giving me so many pop up screens when I turn it on....it's almost always something different... I don't know if it's because of WinME but it's driving me crazy and I figured that maybe if I take everything out and install a new operating system, maybe it'll work better. I would like to know how I can go about in doing that, though. Can someone enlighten me? :-| Thanks a lot, CS
