  1. Thanks. Once I get enough I add a section to the front page for them.
  2. I have that same chip on both my boxes. I use the proset drivers and never had a problem. It could be you installed the wrong driver. If I remember there are 2 versions. One for the older chip and one for the newer. Remove the device in device manager and then reboot. You should be prompted to install driver from disk. Download an older version of the driver from intels site and use it. If that still doesn't work then maybe the device is dead.
  3. First thing to check is the video card. Make sure it is firmly seated. An improperly seated vid card is number one cause for no post. Second make sure the cpu is not defective. If you have another box you can put it in to test then do that. Third check that the ram is good. If you have 2 sticks in the board put one in at a time and try to get it to boot. Although if memory is bad you should still get beeps.
  4. The data that will be inserted after install will be very little. 8megs isn't a whole lot. You would only be able to handle a few users and a couple thousand posts.
  5. Not AT, but small form factor ATX. Try this guy on Ebay http://stores.ebay.com/thirtyday. Specifically this page: http://stores.ebay.com/thirtyday_HP-Compaq-Power-Supply He has a bunch of HP power supplies and might have the one you need. I found one for you. Here you go. http://www.affordablesurplus.com/hp-pavilion-2-power-supply.asp
  6. After thinking this is probably an AT motherboard. The only place to find a PS for them is a surplus house or Ebay.
  7. You might want to try some of the suplus harware sites on the net. Do a search on Google to find them. Why not just replace it with a newer PS? It should fit the case with a few mods.
  8. Here you go. http://www.freesql.org/ I knew I had seen this site before and once you posted I found it on an old floppy of favorites I had lying arround.
  9. What error messages are you getting during the blue screens? It should give some kind of error. You should try downgrading to an older driver. Sometimes the newest won't be compatible with the hardware you use.
  10. Yes it can be done. An admin has to do it, but, a merge is possible.
  11. Could be a memory issue since the onboard graphics uses the ram. Have you tried to set the reoloution to 1024 x 768 or something larger than 800 x 600?
  12. Winacusb.sys is a modem driver. Make sure you have the lastest version of the driver installed. If you do have the newest version then try uninstalling and reinstalling the driver.
  13. I have it installed and use it from time to time. I still prefer IE or Opera.
  14. Thank you. Looking good.
  15. That will work. Thanks.
  16. You could edit the registry to change the key mappings. I'm not familiar with 98SE since I never used that OS. I'm sure someone will come along that help more than I can.
  17. I am adding a new site to the network and I need someone to create logo for the new site. The site will be Extreme Web Dev and will reside at http://extremewebdev.com. The domain currently points to this site. I am developing the site on the dev server. The colors of the site will be done in greys, whites and a lighter blue than we use here. The person that submits the logo that is used will receive a VIP title and in the future access to a VIP lounge. Thanks.
  18. A little more info and we can help you. What OS? What happens when you get the error?
  19. Update to the newest drivers for your OS.
  20. I've had this happen. It corrected itself. I remember it happening after I installed WinRar. I think it messed up the mime types. Might want to check in internet options to make sure bitmaps are properly associated with the image viewer.
  21. Try dropping the multiplier a bit to say 18X.
  22. That is a possibility. If it was a true dual processor box XP Home would install the multi-processor HAL, but, wouldn't utilize both processors. Have you tried to run prime 95 to really tax the CPU? It should utilize 100% of both processors.
  23. It means the task only requires half of the processor power. If it required 100% the graph would show that. XP Home doesn't support more than one processor. That may be the reason you only see one graph. With an HT enabled you should see 2 graphs. My XP Pro shows 2.
  24. You can change them by editing the registry. I'm not sure where it is, but, it can be done.
  25. Lighting strike put the site down for the last 20 hours. I had to move all the sites until my ISP can ship me new hardware which was hit with when the strike went through the lines.
