  17. Since USB 2.0 support is installed by default when you install Windows XP or higher I would place the problem squarely on vmware. Using Microsoft Virtual Server or Virtual PC there is an addon pack for installing support for some hardware. Does vmware have anything similiar? If it does it very well could add support for usb2.
  18. I am pretty sure vmware doesn't have usb 2.0 support built in. Does USB still function after you close the error box?
