  1. Could use some help. Since I moved my system partition to an SSD, I get BSOD 'driver power state failure' errors. Randomly. Shutting down certain hardware (e.g. USB 3.0) doesn’t help. Could you read my minidump to find the driver causing the issue? Much obliged, Simon On Fri 18-5-2012 14:41:10 GMT your computer crashed crash dump file: M:WindowsMinidump51812-10920-01.dmp This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x7F1C0) Bugcheck code: 0x9F (0x3, 0xFFFFFA800EE84060, 0xFFFFF80000B9C518, 0xFFFFFA800D051010) Error: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE file path: M:Windowssystem32ntoskrnl.exe product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System company: Microsoft Corporation description: NT Kernel & System Bug check description: This bug check indicates that the driver is in an inconsistent or invalid power state. This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem. The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver which cannot be identified at this time. View the thread

  7. I have a problem. I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop that I've had for a good 2 years now, since March. It came with Windows 7, and I know it's genuine because it never had the message at the bottom right. Today however, a message saying "Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine" But it is! What do I do? Apologizes if this is in the wrong topic, I dunno which topic it goes in. Okay I did what the comments said. The scan said this. I hope I copied it correctly. 15. It's been over a week and after spending hours on here I am no closer to a solution.80% of the stuff I'm reading is over my head the other 20% does not apply.I have not remapped any keys,I have no maleware, no virus no spyware.I don't need to defrag, empty cache and have plenty of free space. I also didn't get a error code. I have never had this problem before with an update and doupt it has anything to do with my PC. So how do I solve this and how will it effect any other updates that are in the works. I also downloaded the update and tried to run it from my desktop and was told I don't have permission to update windows XP and to contact administrator. I am the administrator. I tried it again a different way and got the message :Setup can not continue because one or more prerequisites required to install update failed .For more details check the logfile.Well here is the logfile and it's all greek to me. Ready to give up ...Kinda sad that microsoft doesn't step up to the plate with help but rather relies on kind hearted people in a forum.
