Hi everyone, We are in the process of getting our Enterprise Agreement sorted out via our parent company and Microsoft but until then we don't have access to software covered by an EA. Despite that, we want to get started on building a new SOE. My question is, can I install an MSDN version of Windows/Office (obviously using an MSDN license key) but then convert that to an enterprise licensed version later when our KMS is online? If not, I will have to wait until the licensing is sorted out and I have access to copies of Enterprise software. Thanks. View the thread

I recently purchased a widescreen monitor (Samsung SyncMasterS23A350H) recommended display resolution 1920x1080 (16:9). This setting is not available in my display settings. The only 16:9 setting - 1280x720 - only makes things even more stretched, with black spaces above and below. Device manager says my display adapter is SiS 760. All devices are installed and working properly. Do I need a new graphics card? Can I download anything (free?) to get the right settings on Windows XP? What's the best solution? View this thread

Yesterday a program broke into my activities to say I had a lot of viruses and trojans. I did a lot of stuff in a panic. My WMicrosoft Security Essentials would not turn on. Apparently these programs have the ability to turn off one's virus protection. I signed on to something called Microsoft Support, thinking it was a Microsoft site, and ended up spending a lot of money. I am afraid I was duped. How can I know? View this thread

I save all my pictures to an external :F drive as my :C drive is almost full. A few days ago one of my entire Picture Folders disappeared from this :F drive (F:pictures2010-2011). When I search my computer for the folder name all the individual pictures show up in a listing now in something called a G: drive. But when I try to access any of these pictures I get this message:G:pictures2010-2011 refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer, or on a network. Check to make sure the disk is properly inserted or that you are connected to the Internet or your network and then try again. If it still cannot be located, the information may have been moved to a different locationI am connected to the Internet, don't have any other external drive, and the pictures don't seem to be anywhere on my :C drive. Hi, can anyone help! I have search for hours/days for a solution to this problem without success. I cannot install any Microsoft Updates or any updates from other programs (i.e. Skype, Yousendit, etc etc). When running windows update the files seem to download and start to progress OK but then fail with the error codes 8004FF01 & 641. When trying to update other programs, Skype for instance, it comes up with the message "The windows installer service could not be accessed". I have check the Windows Installer service and it is set to manual. When I try to start the service it reports "Windows could not start the windows installer service on the local computer - Error 2 - The system could not find the file specified" It appears that the windows installer is corrupt but how do I go about repairing this? I have an HP Pavilion G7-131us laptop with windows 7 and It was inabled with bluetooth, but when i got it i uninstalled the bluetooth program because i thought it was useless and took up space on my computer. Find details of the failed updates at the bottom of this post. Not sure if its related but I had just had a new MoBo in my Dell Laptop when this happened. Although, the latest security update worked (KB915597) but these 8 don't. Googling code FF and 6B7 doesn't give anything useful. I've tried deleting the downloaded updates and trying again. I've tried the microsoft suggestions... - running the fixit thing. It says "system repaired" but it LIES!!! - running the update fix thing but that fails to install. Anyone else got any suggestions? I have MSE>Settings>Advanced configured to NOT remove quarantined file History.
