This is awesome........I try to use Office 2010 on my 'new'computer........after install PowerPnt & Excel wont start due to missing MSVCR90.dll........I use W7 pro 64.......and when trying asking these eminent supporters I just get shuffled around for some links from 2010 and even older.......none of them referring to this quite new problem..........but as always a BIG US company do not answer customers directly...........they have to suffer first.......I think I'll quit MS Office due to lacking support View this thread

I prefer Outlook Express to Windows Live Mail email program, but will Outlook Express even work on my new 64 bit computer (old one is 32 bit)? One of the reasons I do NOT like Windows Live Mail is because it uses the same address book for all the mailboxes, and when you try to migrate the contacts from XP it sometimes does it 2, 3, & 4 times with some of the addresses, creating a mess and is a time consuming operation to clean up. After the latest windows update installed on 6/5/2012, I am missing drivers for my touchpad, wi-fi and many other drivers on my toshiba L645D laptop. When I troubleshoot the problem, says to reinstall drivers, but troubleshooter can't find the drivers. Would appreciate any help in this matter, as this has happened before, but resolved itself with another update. Just wondering if I have to wait for windows to fix this issue or if I can configure my windows updater to include the updated drivers that work? View this thread

When I try to install Windows updates I get error code 800B0100. I tried to install KB947821, the fix on the Windows download page and it says it is installing but it never does. I received a call from Microsoft, saying my computer is at risk and my warranty is running out. I bought my computer in May of last year. He was able to access to my computer. Saying I have alot of Malware, etc. that is slowing it down. Then he gave me a choice of what I wanted to pay, to for it to be reinstated. I just want to know who to call, so it won't happen again. I would like to replace Windows Defender. Even with automatic updates, Defender still requires downloads when you shut down the pc. Sometimes these downloads "hang" causing a crash when I manually shut down the pc--the machine will run forever if I don't shut it down. So I'm wondering, does Security Essentials present downloads like Defender, or not? If not, then maybe I would be better off with SE. Thanks. View this thread

I have gotten the BSOD several times, apparently not related to anything I am doing. The reason for the problem is shown as "Kaspersky Anti-Virus has stopped working." I never installed Kaspersky Anti-Virus, but I ran Kaspersky's all product removal tool anyway. I am using Microsoft Security Essentials and it is up to date. My computer still crashes every few days. I have seen that a few other people with this problem, but I have not seen any effective solutions. Is this a virus? How can I solve this problem. View this thread

Hello, I am trying to create the CD for off line windows defender. At the download stage, after about 5 minutes, I get the message: "There was a problem downloaded the required Windows Defender Offline Files". I clicked the "get more help" link which is on that error page, and went through the "download failed" steps, including having MS Fixit reconfigure IE. Still failing. I have an upgrade disk for Win 7 Pro to Upgrade a Win Vista 64 bit Home Premium Laptop. Upgrade Advisor says my options are installing 7 Home Premium or Ultimate. Does my upgrade Pro disk include Ultimate or must I return my OPENED upgrade package to the store?I want Pro but would accept Ultimate.
