I am constantly asked to verify my account in order to send messages to my clients. I have a 2000-person mailing list divided into 250-person queues. My messages often won't leave my outbox until I go through the verification process again. This time the message said I can't send too many emails in one day (I'm assuming they are counting all the contacts in the message as individual messages) is there any way to get around this? Thanks. I have Windows XP. I can no longer go into Standby mode between uses. The Standby icon has become only a dim outline and will not work. The computer stays on (will not go into screen saver) despite being set to do so after 10 minutes. View this thread

I too am getting this problem. Every one of my many thousands of photographs is backed up twice, despite my never having changed them. It doesn't appear to be doing this for documents, or to photographs on my wife's profile on the same computer. Short of manually deleting them, or re-formatting the external drive and starting file history again, has anyone any ideas ? View the full article

I installed the Bing Desktop v1.1 tonight. It took almost forever. When I was shutting down for the night, I found I can't get rid of the Bing Bar or the window that its in. I tried to uninstall program, but keep getting a message that I have to wait until the program is finished installing. I don't know what else to try. I entered the code 8oo870539 into Fixit and their operation said it had repaired the matter. I again requested Windows to install updates - it went through the process of downloading them but failed to Install. I have a laptop that stays at my mom's in OH so I can use when I visit from CA. It is rarely being used. The Windows it runs on is XP 2002 version under windows 32. Service Pack 2. I couldn't open a needed file from my email because it needed to be updated, so I updated to Service Pack 3. When I did, I was abel to open the file I needed, but everything I print off this computer - prints mirror image. How can I fix this? View this thread

I am not sure when or why it started, I am leaning towards one of the updates. After that point, some installed programs - Atari's release of Unreal Tournament 2004 editor's edition and some games through Valve's Steam application for example - began to refuse to start properly on the first attempt. But on the second, it will. Here is a break-down of what happens. 1. I click to start a program. 2. The process shows up but the program does not. 3. I click a second time. 4. The progam's process starts a second time and the program starts fine. The strange things. 1. Quiting the first process has no effect on the result second attempt. 2. Does not occur with Microsoft made programs that I have used. ( 3. With Steam, the first-start problem ocurs less often when started from the Steam window than the shortcuts (always fails the first time via the shortcuts) 4. Steam itself does not have this issue. 5. Unreal Tournament 2004 runs better (errors are rare) on Windows 7 than it does on Vista. I have Windows 7 Home Pre - 64bit View the thread

My Windows will not process any automatic updates EXCEPT for windows defender. The error code is Windows Update error 80070002. When I follow directions for deleting temp files, it tells me it is not a valid file type or the file is damaged. What now? View this thread

One of my laptops running Windows 8 Pro x64 keeps doing automatic "update installation" restarts even during use. I know there are some features that have been added to insure updates are done within 72 hours, but based on my readings I don't think it should be doing that in the middle of active use. What was happening at the time of restart: Girlfriend was using iTunes actively and listening to music. Any thoughts on a good way to fix this? Or is this even a known issue? Thanks View this thread
