I did a system restore and now I can't conect my printer to my PC the message says no INF files found. I did download a new driver from the provider but it won't unzip. View this thread

I think I may have found a bug. My Outlook 2013 profile has more than 75 rules. When I started testing Outlook 2013, I got the message "The rules on this computer do not match the rules on Microsoft Exchange. Only one set of rules can be kept. You will usually want to keep the rules on the server. Which rules do you want to keep?" I did the following troubleshooting: 1. I created a new Outlook profile. This didn't fix the issue. 2. I exported my rules, cleared them using "outlook /cleanrules", then reimported the rules. This didn't fix the issue. 3. I cleared the rules again (outlook /cleanrules), then hand-entered the rules. This also didn't fix the issue. 4. I reduced the number of rules to less than 50. This FIXED the problem. 5. When I entered rule #51, the problem came back. When I removed ruled #51, the problem was again fixed. Does anyone know of a fix or workaround to this issue? Thanks. View this thread

The motherboard burned up in my 2 year old computer running Windows 7. After replacing the motherboard, the sysem would not boot-up and I had to reloaded the operating system. When I went to activate the software, I found that the product key did not work. So,I telephoned Microsoft thinking this is just some security measure to keep the thieves from stealing Microsoft's products. I am good with that since it helps to keep the price down on the operating system. Sadly, I was informed by the Microsoft telephone support representative that I would have to pay for a new product key to be generated. After 48 minutes of trying to explain that it was the same computer just a different motherboard, I finally asked to speak with a supervisor. After another 15 minute wait, the representative came back to say his supervisor would make this one-time exception and give me a new product key. Sad, Sad, Sad over an hour on the phone trying to get a license for something I already own. What am I suppose to do in the future if something fails on my computer. I bought a license from Microsoft. I should not have to keep paying for the same product. We had the same problem at work about 6 months later when we upgraded the CPU from a single core to a double core. When the system crashed on boot-up our company's "computer guru" decided to reload the Windows 7. When it would not accept the product key he called Microsoft and got the same run around. He told them everything was the same except the CPU. His representative told him his actions voided Microsoft license agreement. The guru's solution was to run down to BestBuy and get another copy of Win 7. In all my years with Microsoft, from DOS 5.0 & Windows 3.0 though Windows 8, I have never really understood so many people beating on Microsoft's licensing agreements. I always attributed it to the lowly Apple fanatic. Maybe I have been too much a Microsoft fanatic. View the thread

Hi. I have windows 7 Home Premium x64 (With SP1) installed here. I need to run some programs here as administrator right-clicking in the link of the program on the desktop and selecting "Run as Administrator". The main problem is that nothing happens... I Can't see the related process or even "consent.exe" running... no warning pop ups, nothing at all. My account is Admin and UAC is ON, with "standart" Settings. I have a 10.3MB folder in my recycle bin that I can't delete. I have used the rd /s /q C:$Recycle.bin command as administrator without effect. I have manually deleted the $Recycle.bin file, but it renews itself with the file still intact. I am wondering if its possible to 'slipstream' each patch / update into a single install like you can when you slipstream operating system fixes. After the lastest update for vista my integrated video card stopped working the update will not install. It keeps saying an unknown error occured while installing and download failed. View this thread
