Hi there I have a major problem with my new laptop. First things first I am running windows 8 and I set the laptop up in a gmail account and ever time I try to verify the email account I get an error message saying the service is down and it has been saying this since Christmas day. Now is this because it is a gmail account? Must I need to use a hotmail account to set the laptop up? Please help. View this thread

why does this piece of **** windows 8 not install, i have tried it 5 times and it keeps saying installation unsuccesful even though i have 5 times all the requirements, its starting to annoy me this shouldnt work, it even says on the box easy installation but not its just not working, every time i try to install it it always comes up with installation unsuccesful after talking 20 minutes of my time just to tell me that in the end, this product is ****! please help if someone finds a solution to this garbage View this thread

I have 13 updates for Windows 8 that I can't install. Although the system alerts me that I have pending updates , every time I try to install the updates with WINDOWS UPDATE, after showing the green bar going back and forth for some minutes, at the end, the following error comes up: Some Updates were not installed Failed: 13 updates Error(s) found: Code 80071A30 Windows Update ran into a problem View this thread

You know how frustration can nearly drive you to smash your computer? Me = on the verge. I don't know technical lingo, and I'm nearly at my wits-end here hoping someone might be able to help me. Basically, I've run through the possibility that it might my USB drive that wasn't working, but now I see it's ANY USB that goes into my computer since the "failed Windows 7 updates" - which I have no idea why they won't install. I've re-installed them, restarted the computer, run diagnostic programs as suggested by Microsoft aids, installed each update separately, and neither update will actually work. I've gone over the forums and can't understand what anyone is talking about, so I'm hoping that I'm not posting again, but at the same time, needing lay-man's terms as far as this goes. I have succesfully ran all wondows critical updates (and optional updates) except for one - security update kb2727528. I receive error code 80073712. I am running Windows Home premium 64 bit version service pack 1. Any suggestions? Thank you View this thread

Installed a new hard drive and new Win 8 Pro. Then installed a photo editing program that had ran fine under XP. It would not run under Win 8, and would not deinstall, so I manually deleted the directory and desktop icon, but I did not delete common file. After rebooting Win 8, I got "rundll32.exe - Entry Point Not Found" error. Long story short, I have been able to "OK" the error message away each time I boot up Win 8, but the error continues to bug me. So, how do I make... "... SfcisKeyProtected could not be located in... Original Title - update problem After the last up dates when I start my PC the screen shows something about the BIOS and I have to hit F1 to continue. This never happened starting the PC until the last update. Also since then the calendar keeps jumping back to 2006 when I start the PC. Does the update have anything to do with this or is there another problem? View this thread

Okay - have a problem with my xp computer I had to reboot it because I think I deleted something by mistake. who knows what I was trying to clean up my computer - call me an air head. Hello, for the second time in a day I have had a my computer close down and a "serious error message displayed". I have sent a error message to microsoft but was wondering if anyone could tell me what I need to do next, I have followed the advice on screen about disk space, degramentation etc the error code that was displayed was: STOP: 0X0000008E, OXC0000005, OXBF956A02, OXB23F3C00, 0X00000000, win32k.sys address BFG56A02 base at BF800000, datestamp SOA1A16D.
