In reading solutions I found suggestion to run Microsoft Fixit, which I did, and it didn't fixit. Next solution was to run .Net Framework cleanup tool, which I did.. It removed ALL Net Framework versions. Now I can't get any except .Net Framework 4 to install. I haven't a clue on how to proceed. Having unfortunately removed ALL versions of .NET Framework, now I have to put them back. I had 1.1, 2 Service Pack2, 3 Service Pack 2, 3.5 Service Pack 1, and 4. Please advise how to 1. Download these again, 2. If there are different versions of one of these (as there are), how do I tell what I need, 3. Once in my downloads directory, how do I install them. 4. My dominsion 2400 Dell has an issue as I was able to set up the printer to another computer, Tried 3 times to get the cd to run the program through but failed. I was never able to get that printers' fax ability set up when I tried I got error message that fxscfgwz.dll was missing. What is the best way to find &amp install that file. Also any ideas on why I can't download the original cd from the brother mfc290c printer installation on my 1st computer? Help! View this thread

My XP machine was cleared by the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to run either the 32 bit or 64 bit version. However I would have to upgrade my RAM to 2.0 gigabyte for the 64 bit version. I currently have 1.5 gigabytes of RAM. 2.0 gigabytes of RAM is the most my machine will allow. Would I be better off with the 32 bit version and 1.5 gigabytes of RAM or 64 bit version and upgrade to 2.0 gigabytes of RAM? What about a third option of upgrading to 2.0 gigabytes of RAM and going to the 32 bit version? Thanks in advance for any advice. View this thread

Hi, I downloaded the 64-bit version of Office 2013 Pro. When I went to install it, I got an error message saying I need the 32-bit version instead. However, the website won't let me download the 32-bit version, I guess because I already used up my registration. How can I download the 32-bit version now? Thank you. Kara View this thread

it says virus protection is off, click for recommended action. the recommended action is &quotturn it on&quot with no instruction. in the past it has worked to go to the security center and run the virus definition update. this is not working this time. View this thread

I get an error message check the remote fax everytime Isome one sent me a fax from outside to my machine at home 3 in one dell 1135N laser MFP. Hello I've contacted Dell a couple of times and all they have done was tried to update my drivers which didn't work or they had me use a corded keyboard which still had the problem. When typing my keyboard pauses, won't type, types the same character several times, takes up to 30 seconds between characters to be able to type another and than at other times there is zero problems. This can happen several times a day. It happens using IE, Firefox, typing in word, trying to access a website. Its very frustrating. I am using Windows 7 with a cordless keyboard. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this problem I would appreciate it! View the thread

what does microsoft expect the low-income and middle class xp users to do when microsoft stops support for XP operating system? What about all of our costly software we have installed for xp but it wont work on newer operating systems? just spent 300.00 for security system to catch neighbors stealing from my parts cars, just to find out that XP is done come Feb 2014 1 year from now, but ALOT of EVERYONE'S XP software wont work on Vista and newer operating systems! WHen using a techinical piece of software the cut/paste option has stopped functioning. Software support technicians seem to think the issue is with MS Office software. The above notation appears: not supported by office clipboard - How do I troubleshoot clipboard issues? The clipboard, cut and paste works in WORD, etc., just not within this techinical software. I no longer am using my Ultimate windows 7 disc, but I have an elderly aunt with a totally messed up Vista system that she bought that desparately needs to be totally wiped. If I'm not going to use my 7 disc can I use it to redo her system or will there be a problem with activation? If she had the abilty to buy that's one thing but she can't and I need to know when I leave her place that I know what is on the system and can monitor her so that she no longer has a system full of spyware, Trojans, porno and the like..........I have built and repaired numerous systems in my time but I've NEVER seen anything as bad as this. After news reports today I decided maybe I should unstall Java. I have Win 7 64 bit with IE. Online videos don't have sound nor does Rhapsody and Netflix. Is there an alternative to Java? The sound is not working for many applications. View the thread

I am unable to get onto any audio options, either by clicking onto sound through control panne, or by right clicking on sound in the task bar. Also when ever i plug in any headset it takes along time for it to recognise that anything has been plugged, I have the same problem with my turtle beach which is a jac and usb as well as my logitec which is usb but is plugged in at the rear of the computer. I installed a new C drive about a year ago and with it Windows 7 Professional which was bought in the original Microsoft packaging and which I registered with Microsoft my opening screen on booting up reads "Windows 7 Professional". Occasionally I use Belarc Advisor to audit and print out the details of my system. I have found Belarc extremely accurate and thorough, right down to printing out the correct serial numbers of all my components. When I ran an audit this morning, I was surprised to see that the operating system which Belarc found on my PC is "Windows Vista Business Service Pack 1 (build 7601)".Is this another description for Windows 7 Professional?And how can I determine whether I have the latest Service Package (I think its 1) installed?Many thanks View the thread

i installed a blank hard disk drive on an old Toshiba Tecra 9A and did not have the original Windows installation disk. So i installed XP pro with an old install disk i had laying around by slipstreaming XP SP2 disk with XP SP3 Microsoft download. i have the product key on my COA sticker, but it does not work. i used Product Key Update Tool to attempt an update, but that does not work either. i am stuck with a non genuine installation here, but i have the COA! how do i fix this?
