Greetings, I have some folks from what apears to be India calling, they told me I had a error on my computer (Viruses) and wanted me to go through some steps in finding it. Anyone have a clue as to what this is all about ? If they are lagit, how do you know, the person calling could barely speak english and when I asked for the manager it was the same thing. My life cam will work great for a month, maybe 2 months, then it just quits working. I reinstall, reset, do everything in the trouble shooter, nothing works. Unless I plug it into a differnt USB port, then it works fine, if I plug it into a port I used befor, it will not work.Even after I get it working again on a new port, it will not work on the old usb port, everything else will works in those ports, but not the lifecam. I have gone through the computer, it's not the computer, even after a total reinstall of the entire operating system. I will get no errors on any thing, it just quits working, and never works in that port again. It does the same thing in a port hub. I have test equipment to test the electronics in the ports them selves, there is nothing wrong, it just quits working in that port and never works in it again. Any ideas? Get a differant camera brand? My other cameras will work in the ports just fine! View the thread

I'm trying to install the windows updates and it keeps coming u[p with error 80070490 for updates KB967723, KB970430 and KB972145. I have tried all the trouble shooting suggestions on your website including running Mr Fix Itt the error keeps coming up. Windows7 Home Prem...... Started PC in "Safe Mode with Networking"...... Wanted to try to Install a Windows Update in Safe Mode as the Update will not install. At the Safe Mode desktop (and I see SAFE MODE displayed in the Corners)......I click on COMPUTERPROPERITIES....SYSTEM WINDOWS......left side bottom.....all I see is ACTION CENTER....(Link "Windows Update is not there). Tried clicking Start... in search block typed Windows Update, clicked on Link....the Window does not open..... If I cannot get to the Windows Update Window...I have no way to select the Update that I am having issues installing...and wanted to try to install it in Safe Mode. Am I doing something Wrong? Hello y'all, I bought a refurbished HP p6320y w/MSI motherboard,2TB hardrive,8G ram, quad-core Athlon 2.8Ghz,Win7sp1 + essentials. The 2TBhardrive took a dump. I installed a 1TB,7200rpm,Seagate hardrive to replace it until I got the original Hitachi 2TB back. Now, I am not tech-savy enough to install/sync both hardrives internally. Can I use my new 2TB internal Hrdrive by simply plugging it in via USB, or does it need to be installed and loaded w/O.S/drivers professionally? Sometimes when I swipe my finger across the touchpad to move the curser a magnifying glass icon comes up and my view zooms or shrinks. I don't know what triggers that. This is extremely annoying. I want to know how to control this function View the thread

My computer has currently installed: .NET Framework 3.0 SP2 208MB .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 28MB .NET Framework 4 Client Profile 182MB These require a lot of memory compared to Windows XP (220MB) Further, every time I shut down, the system tries to install 2 updates - but possibly fails each time(?). Someone called me from Windows and said I had many error messages that was preventing me from getting optimum use from my computer. I had noticed error messages, but I just ignored them. The person who called from Windows was instructing me through the process of fixing the 'errored' programs. His English was difficult to follow. I did the best I could, then we got cut off and I don't know what to do about this. If anyone out there knows how to remove the update program off a laptop can they please leave me a message telling me how to. It's responsible for causing major issues on my sister's laptop but microsoft are not willing to help her resolve the issues caused by their update program!
