What is KB2778171 function? When I installed this KB, Play video with WMP, after maximize and minimize or switch display mode or plug/unplug external monitor cable. the video all will play unsmooth, I have to uninstall KB2778171. all this problems are not duplicated. Hi, I would just like to query regarding the error 012913 that customers are getting when they are trying to redeem the free upgrade from Office 2010 to Office 2013/Office 365 Home Premium Subscription. What would be the cause of the error message and how can we bypass it? One information that we got is to transfer the call to the Microsoft Store Team yet this is not a sure fix for the customer. Currently one of the top call drivers the AnswerDesk Technicians are receiving so far. Any helpful response is appreciated. BTW I am with Microsoft Answerdesk as one of the Backup Support Leads. I have a SONY VAIO VPCF234FD Windows 7 Home Premium 64 BIT My windows update would not start prior to the wuauserv not starting. In the past, I have rejected several times of updating and have not correctly **** down a few times. (by just pulling the power plug) This computer came with Windows 7 I have installed Norton 360 I have tried Microsoft fix it 50202, but when it was almost done, a message came up saying that I have no privilege to start the wuauserv. My BITS is working perfectly and is on Automatic (delayed), and my Windows Update service is on Automatic. Whenever I try to start the service, an error comes up saying &quotWindows Could not start Windows Update on local computer.&quot I ran the Update troubleshoot and two problems came up saying that my Windows Update Components are broken - Not fixed, and the other was the wuauserv not being able to start. I tried resetting it but it still couldn't start the wuauserv with a system error 15100. I really need help on this!!! View this thread

Okay having the same problem. I don't know about computers but it seems there is some sort of problem with the system. I've tried everything. I bought my laptop with windows 8. I think Windows should supply a fix. Why isn't it taking responsibility for a fix? Why is it up to the customers to sort it on their own? Next time I'm getting a Mac. Half of the other problems I'm dealing with are because Microsoft doesn't seem to have the ability to make software that is compatible with it's own system. View the full article

I have an original Windows 7 Home Premium full retail DVD box (one of the first that came out) and an original box with a Windows Anytime Upgrade box to go from Windows 7 Home Premium to Ultimate. I understand how to do the first step of a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium. What I would like to know is, from this point, what is the quickest/most efficient way to get to the point that I have a fully updated Windows 7 Ultimate (SP1) x64 again. For example, Does it matter/help whether I do the anytime upgrade immediately then update or vice versa? Should/can I install SP1 immediately thereby cutting out a lot of the update cycles before SP1? Hello community, is it possible to customize a Click-To-Run installation in regards to individual programs? I mean to install only Word, Excel and Outlook for example. The Office Deployment Tool for Click-to-Run seems to add or remove only the whole ProPlus package, but not individual products. Are there any options to get a customized Click-To-Run installation? Maybe downloading the setup files via the ODT, and make some changes there? View this thread
