mon pc s'ai éteint 3 fois dans la même journée, suite à ces problèmes mon pc ne fonctionnait plus aussi vite qu'avant notament lorsque j'utilise une ressource provenant d'internet (jeux en ligne, vidéo sur youtube...). I have set up a ban filter to disallow registrations from gMail accounts. If you attempt to register with a gMail address you will be denied. If you are currently registered with a gMail account then you will be required to change the email on your next log in. gMail is by far the most used email service by spammers and I am tired of spam bots using gMail email address trying to register. Until Google finds a way to stop these spammers I saw that banning gMail was the only option to stop this. In the last 24 hours there were 4234 attempted user registrations. 3 were by actual users and the rest were by spam bots or spammers. Of those 4234 attempts 4129 were using gMail address. I have also banned Hotmail as it is also widely used by spammers. If this inconveniences any legitimate users I apologize.

My USB disc comes up with the letter 'J'. Because I have references to it with a letter 'X' I want to change it and I do that in the Computer Management tool with the Disk Management utility. Computer - Right click - Computer Management Disk Manegement - Right-click the drive and then click Change Drive Letter and Paths Assigne a new letter Everything works fine but suddenly after a reboot Windows 8 loses the letter 'X' for this disc and assignes 'J' again. I want all new documents which I create to use the Comic Sans Font set to 12 pt size, but when I create a new Rich Text Format document it always reverts to Aerial font in a 10 pt size. I have tried changing the font and size and then SAVE AS a RTF document in Wordpad, but each time I create a new document it is the Arial 10 pt text. View this thread

I am having a problem using windows update and even after using the suggestions provided in the forum in regards to resolving the issue I have, I have yet to come up with a solution. I am using windows Vista which is Installed on drive C: (OS) an 80 gig Hard disk in additional I also have drive D: (DATA) a new secondary 320 gig hdd installed. I wish to utilize system more efficiently by saving and storing my files on this drive automatically is it possible to move my user profile from drive c: to drive d: and reserving my primary drive for the OS only View this thread

I am not allowed to get Microsoft support because I have an OEM version of Windows 7 64-bit. The support page simply states to contact the supplier/manufacturer of the PC. I built it myself. Seems a bit odd. Anything I can do about it? I only wanted to point out that their 'sorting' algorithms are incorrect for future builds. View the thread

How is authenticationsecurity generally handled for other smartphonesdevices in a Windows environment? (I don't think the iPhone understands AD! I was running Windows 7 64 bit with outlook 2010 64 bit using a WISekey Standard services CA 2 certificate to digitally sign outgoing email. I never had a problem. I upgraded to Windows 8 professional 64 bit using an in-place upgrade. I could receive email in outlook 2010 but whenever I tried to send email I would get a not responding message and outlook hung. I upgraded to office 2013 hoping this would solve the problem and it did not. Upon further investigation I discovered if I turned off the digital signing it worked. As a test I ran outlook 2013 in administrative mode by right clicking and choosing run as administrator and the digital signing started working. So it appears Windows 8 has issues with UAC.. Any fixes planned or any other solutions that always having to run Outlook in Administrative mode? View this thread

I just purchased Office 365 at Office Depot [and obtained a replacement at the Microsoft store, but that's a whole 'nother story] and attempted to access Office.com/setup with Bing from my Windows 7 platform. Bing couldn't find the webpage. Google did. And there is no way visible to the average [normal] person to find setup through the Office 365 home page. [i guess no one expected other sources than Microsoft online would sell Office 365.] Perhaps instead of having a sea of 'blue shirts' inhabiting your stores, some of those resources should be used for Beta testing your product by 'normal' people [i.e. non-Nerd customers]. I have found this VERY useful in developing apps I have been involved with. View this thread
