on 31Jan2013 i pay paypal $39.99 for upgrade today 3Feb2013 0% download i ask for dvd 3 days ago my tv programs play with internet when i normally download big files up to 104 GB freinds so1 blu ray it took 4hrs as i had smaller on download. the slowest down load is 1.9 Mbs please Microsoft is this how you treat you loyal clients i hate to know what you do to your enemy's. hi, I will be attending a Devcamp of Microsoft end Feb. To prepare myself I had to download a few things on my PC. One of them was offcie 365 and asked me to upgrade it from the office version I was using. I said ok and the upgrade started. However, it said after a while that something when wrong and it stopped. After that I am not able to open my Outlook any more. When clicking on the Outlook icon that I have "pinned" on the task bar, the programm starts loading and I can see the screen but I am then disappears. I was using IE and then it froze my laptop computer while I was watching a video.. I did a warm reboot, but the monitor will not come back on It has never done this. I have tried to update the monitor firmware and fun diagnostics, but it is fine. When I plug in a monitor or TV, it works just fine. The BIOS check does not beep, but is noticeably slower. Hello. I have Windows 7 64 bit. Occasionally some "optional" (not "required") security or driver updates from Windows update, fail during install. This has happened sporadically for months. I thought nothing much of it as performance didn't seem effected, and they weren't labelled required but I want to make certain everything is updated and I don't have a virus that's going to blow up in my face. I wonder if I have two related problems: I use Security Essentials and when I do a virus scan it does not let me do a full scan, it hangs always on CodeIntegrity. It let's me automatically and manually update the program, do a custom scan of everything else, do a quick scan, and do a custom scan of only CodeIntegrity with no problems reported. I have checked device manager and all devices are telling me that the driver software is current and there are no updates. I'm a little confused about how to completely uninstall a video driver and then still be able to get fresh install of that if needed. Please let me know any additional information you might need and how to obtain it. I remember I did at one point months ago have some spyware, which Security Essentials allowed me to delete. I recognized the software which it had sneaked in on. I wish I remembered what it was called or wrote it down, but I properly uninstalled the program from control panel, and deleted the associated folder. I suppose this may have caused a registry problem? I only know enough to know I don't want to be messing with the registry... I tried ESET online scanner, which didn't help. I did the same thing and completely uninstalled it and removed the folder - but I guess that probably left a registry key also. Most Windows updates install with no issues. I received error code 800F0203 for this last one, which is for graphics adapter WDDM1.1 and WDDM1.2, it says. I use no other virus or spyware software except Security Essentials (and Windows Firewall). View this thread

Greetings, I have just migrated to Windows 8 on my home computer. I notice that after a little while the computer basically shuts itself down. When I press the power button, it comes up within seconds. I assume its hibernating. So Im wondering do I really need to ever shut down the machine manually as I always used to do or just leave it and let it go to sleep all the time? Tried to install Chrome. It told me that I needed to run Windows update. Went to the website and tried to run from there. It crashes when I click on install critical and recommended updates. I'm getting Error number: 0x80244030 when I run Update from the Update website. Any ideas? View this thread

I have following strange problem with keyboard and czech national characters: On czech keyboard some characters are writen as &quotcombined&quot - one &quotmodification&quot character followed by letter. Example: ˇ + T = Ť Now my problem is- on keyboard which is set as system default (czech QWERTY) it does not work, it produces: Example: ˇ + T = ˇˇT Well and the confusing part: The problem appears to be only when the keyboard is set as system default. If i select another keyboard as system default, and switch to &quotmy&quot keyboard after start, the &quotmy&quot keyboard works correctly. (But if the keyboard is set as default, switching to another keyboard and back doesnt help). Done all sorts of switching - default keyboard always wrong, secondary always ok. Am using windows 8, english language pack (system language), czech language pack installed. Its tablet PC - but the problem is on touchkeyb as well as on BT keyboard and USB keyboard. Have another machine with precisely the same language and input settings - without this problem (non-touch laptop). Maybe touch keyboard introduces this problem? Any advice appreciated. Hello everyone, a few days ago I had to update my definitions manually. I noticed at the bottom with the Network Inspection System, this was the part which I got confused the most. It says "If you are running Microsoft Security Essentials build 2.0.0375.0 or higher, you also need to download the following Network Inspection System definitions". I looked at my MSE &gt Help &gt About MSE, but it says everything else except the build version. I dont know when, the website means "Build" it means "Engine". Hello - My new HP PC with Windows 8 pre-installed is shutting down by itself. The computer was idle when it randomly shutdown. This has happened numerous times now. Hi im mike,my cpu has been taken over by WMC including in safemode,its changed alot of icons.I can right click into most programs properties including wmc but dont kno what the settings should be,also can only get on the internet by right clicking ie &amp choosing a link from my history.my niece caused this by(accidently)clicking on a dll or exe file in wmc then clicking off of it.Now it has administrator rights and i dont,Please Help me,any help!! I had Security Essentials running on my computer but somehow or other it was wiped out of my computer. I then installed my service providers security package with Norton. Had to uninstall that as it was practically taking over my computer. I just dowloaded Security Essentials again and it notified me that my Windows Firewall was not on and that I should check to make sure it was on. I did just that through my Control Panel and I keep getting message that &quotdue to unidentifiied problem Windows cannot display Windows Firewall settings. I am afraid it is not running. Any ideas? I have windows 8 wich is upgraded from windows 7. The windows is 64 bit. I must say that before my pc got restarted today I had few days now the screen is flickering from time to time. The internet explorer sometimes on websites get crash or restarted automatic and back to the same site it was on. My video card when im playing battlefield bad company 2 after 10-30 minutes get working very hard and make some noise. Im not sure if the video card get too hot but the problems happened when I wasn't playing. I wasn't near the pc when he restarted just came and saw that windows went up and whne I went in I saw this error message. My video card is NVidia gtx 880 And I have 6gb memory ram. I used both memtest and the windows memory tool when I had windows 7 about a week ago and it didn't find any memory problems. Im not sure where the problem is if the memories or the video card or maybe something else. But the problems aren't from today I had some problems also on windows 7. I just uploaded the only file I have in the windowminidump directory.
