I have an update to install &quotSecurity Update for Windows 8 for x64-based Systems (KB2785220)&quot which continues to fail. 80073712 is the error code I get. Ive had Microsoft trying to fix it remotely on my computer, so far it has taken up about 4 hours of my time sitting on the phone trying to sort this out. So far, no luck. Ive googled this topic and it seems I am not the only one with this problem. Myself and the Microsoft technician have tried every trick under the sun still without luck. My question to Microsoft is, what are you doing about this? If your own people cant figure it out, how can I? Please sort this out urgently because I am sick of failing updates and the inconvenience is unacceptable. View this thread

application installation requires Microsoft.NET Framework 3.5. I am running windows 8, trying to install on demand framework 3.5, system will not connect automatically to windows update to down load, 0x800F0906 error is shown. Running Sierra Broadband wireless connection turbo stick. Tried to change group policy settings to various modes and also tried to enable framework 3.5 in windows features, still can't connect, even down loaded framework 3.5 from web site which was successful but can't install without connecting to windows update. no success. other than trying to connect to windows update all other internet connections issues are working ok. This is a second letter for help. I have tried all suggestions from using FIXIT to the CMD and edit via Command Prompt. To checking the registry.I am not able to get the Print spooler to work. Does anyone have an idea why in Windows 7 the spooler for seemingly no reason stopped working. Windows Vista keeps asking me to install 5 updates related to .net framework and each time I install with success. The update history indicates the install was successful, but windows update keeps saying these same updates are available and ready to install. I was in the middle of browsing the TechNet site for a download when suddenly my laptop shut down and rebooted into a maintenance mode where I was locked out, it told me &quotcleaning up&quot do not power off your pc. needless to say I was at its mercy for as long as it decided to take. hi, I will be attending a Devcamp of Microsoft end Feb. To prepare myself I had to download a few things on my PC. One of them was offcie 365 and asked me to upgrade it from the office version I was using. I said ok and the upgrade started. However, it said after a while that something when wrong and it stopped. After that I am not able to open my Outlook any more. When clicking on the Outlook icon that I have "pinned" on the task bar, the programm starts loading and I can see the screen but I am then disappears.
