  1. I am getting ready to upgrade the site and addons aren't compatible. That feature will be back once the software upgrade is done.
  2. I'd like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. Enjoy the time with your family.
  3. Uninstall Flash. Then when you visit a website with videos they will play using HTML 5 auto magically.
  4. I haven't had flash installed for a couple years now. I am not missing anything. HTML 5 has taken over to replace flash. Years ago I said flash and java were like installing a virus magnet.
  5. Welcome back to the site.
  6. I got an email from them today telling me my info was in the data that was stolen. I have never used the Yahoo email account. I created it many moons ago and never used it for anything. When I created the account it was to avoid using my ISP email. I never used it but instead got a Hotmail account. I didn't use my real name, address or anything else so I guess they really didn't get any of my info.
  7. Because that was posted in the malware removal forum only the thread starter and malware removal staff can reply to it.
  8. You have set JAVA_HOME variable in your path. Right click my computer > Properties > Advanced System Settings > Environment Variables. In system variables click new then fill in the variable name which will be JAVA_HOME and then put the path to where you extracted it as the variable value. That will make Java available for any apps you want to run. I install it on my servers so I can use ElasticSearch for website search. There is no installer for the Java JDE/JDK.
  9. The only reason I used Vista was because I was a beta tester of it. If not for that I would have stayed with XP until Windows 7.
  10. iPads run on the same OS as the iPhone, IOS. The reason why there hasn't been any virus that target it is because all apps submitted to the app store are checked before they are listed. It is an intense process. So if you download only from the Apple store your chances of getting infected with something are next to 0.
  11. I have upgraded the style files and JS for the site. This update can cause problems. If you notice any JS errors do a hard refresh of your browser to pull down the new files.
  12. Here is the information on that error. https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc734033(v=ws.10).aspx This was written for Windows Server 2008, but, Windows 7 and Windows 2008 were built the same. Only difference is all the server tools were stripped out of Windows 7 except for IIS.
  13. Happens to me also. Might be just a glitch that is this version.
  14. Yes. Flash is and always has been a security risk. It is on it's way out.
  15. Bug fixes mainly with the exception of the html5 uploader.
  16. Site upgraded to newest version of xenforo. Also upgraded the software being used for the resources section of the site.
  17. All seems good. I was testing the new uploader that was added to the latest version of xenforo. It is an HTML 5 uploader. I had an HTML uploader installed but it was only available for mobile devices that didn't support flash or for those that have flash disabled. The new uploader works for or should work for all now.
  18. Once more.
  19. Testing 1 2 3.
  20. That's hot. This winter here is mild compared to the last few. In fact we had thunderstorms last night.
  21. All of these have one thing in common. Terrible grammar and structure. No professional would let anything like this make to the public.
  22. Happy birthday.
  23. Here is a pretty good article that explains it fairly well and should answer your questions. http://www.jscape.com/blog/bid/80512/Active-v-s-Passive-FTP-Simplified
  24. Hello and welcome. Good to see you join.
  25. Yes. Everyone will have to log in the next time they visit.
