I am trying to install Windows Update after a clean install and am unable to. I get this error code number Ox8024400A but it isn't listed in the"Find Solutions" list. Is there a longer list to refer to for a solution to the problem? Thanks. View this thread

Running Windows 7 (64) Continue to get error when running updates. Have tried running each individually with no success. Have used latest Mr. Fixit with no success. Windows 8 Professional. After installing two updates, KB2807986 and KB 2781197 I lost two way communication with my HP wireless officejet printer, HP 8600 plus. I uninstalled the two updates and things are back to normal. View this thread

I have received emails from individuals that do not show the other recipient names. How do they do that? Do they create a Group Contact first? I have an occassional need to send emails to multiple recipients, but don't want them to know the entire list of recipients. Is that possible? I use Windows Mail with Vista. Thank you. I recently downloaded a Windows update which installed IE 10. Afterwards Internet Explorer continually froze and was very instable, especially when I opened additional tabs. To get over this I restored to an earlier date before the update came in and all was okay but obviously with IE back to version 9. I've tried several times again to install IE 10 but the same thing happens so I've now reverted back to IE 9. I'm using a 64 bit Fujitsu desktop which originally had Vista installed but came with a free upgrade to Windows 7 which I'm now running. The machine is just 3 years old. I've also got a Fujitsu laptop which came with Windows 7 installed and I've upgraded to IE 10 on this with no problem at all. Any suggestions? View this thread

I try to get windows 8 pro /windows 8 updates but can not acheave it as I kep getting an error mesage that reads error code 80072F76 or dt 000(1) How can I fix this problem?. Hi. I'm trying to update my Operating System (Windows 8) and while I can download the updates, it can't be installed. After the download it only says &quotPreparing for Installation&quot. I tried to troubleshoot it and it showed that there was an error in one of the updates and such but then it was already fixed (Troubleshooter said so..) So I tried again and yet nothing happens. Unable to update kb2655992. I always receive message error 0x80070008 and when using the trouble shooter, troubleshooter has experienced and unexpectered error and cannot continue. At one time I received a message that I had run out of memory. Memory item means very little to me. I would just like to install the update kb2655992 and proceed. View this thread

Hi, my computer has been crashing while online (specifically Firefox although it's been freezing in Chrome too). I checked my Event Log and found the following error. I only have the button Update and Restart, but I want Update and Shutdown.Why? I tried entering in a command line interface &quotrun as administrator&quot but this is not a recognized legitimate command so I can't do any of the suggested solutions. I am signed on in the Administrator's account so I should be able to fix errors but it won't let me. View this thread

I accidentally deleted a Word document from a 16FAT disk SD memory card which was in my Windows 7 computer. I tried several free softwares to get it back, and i got it back, however some of it is completely missing and there are a bunch of useless numbers and mixed-up letters in with it. How can I get it back fully, restored the way it was? Any services or suggestions would be useful especially if they're free, but ones that require money, if they'd work, I'll try anything. This document was a novel I was going to publish in a book series I published, and to rewrite it will take at least a year. Thanks for the help! View the thread
