Hi all, When installing the update it got close to fully installed. But it just sits there. I hit "Stop Installation" but it did nothing, so after a while I shut down my computer. And I restarted the computer, but when doing so, it wanted to install the update. I left it on all night and it was stilll on that stupid screen. So now every time I try to restart my computer it wants to install that update. VERSION: Windows 8 Pro 64bit THERE IS INFORMATION ON UPDATE BELOW. How do I install this update, without any problems? I use Symantec Ghost to image lab PC's at a school. The first step in this process is to set up a PC using a generic domain user account. Once all the apps are installed & configured the profile for this user is copied to the Default user so that all new users get the same setup. Once the image is deployed to multiple PC's I've found that the user account information shown at the upper right of the Office 2013 apps still shows the generic user account used to create the image even though a different user is logged on to the PC. I'd rather show the current user or, if possible, no user account information at all. I don't want the students to even know about the generic user account that I use to create the image and this situation essentially throws it in their face each time they open one of the Office 2013 apps. How can I force the Office 2013 apps to display the current user or hide this information altogether? I've tried deleting the registry entries related to Office identities but if I log off and log back on as a different user the original identity is still displayed. Thanks... View this thread

I recently got the 0x81000019 error code when trying to do a backup on my external hard drive. I turn off my antivirus protection before I attempt. I have no other language installed. Ran win update for IE10, it DL'd, ran but when requested to restart I did but then reboot PC failed to boot and went into recovery and repair. Eventually Auto recovered so system usable but Win update now shows IE10 update as completed but windows still has IE9. I have no idea of what the error was except it said Windows cannot boot and error with recent update. Whenever you click on the start icon to shut-down your pc, there is an alert icon indicating available updates. I have installed the latest windows 7 updates, same updates, several times. My user account page has only 2 accounts, my own and a Guest. Until recently they worked as expected. However this week when Windows 7 Home premium starts I see only my account. If I click change user then I have a choice of 2 Icons, mine and a user. The guest icon is not present. The user icon has no picture and requires a user name and password which I do not know since I did not create it and this user account does not appear on the user account page ( Control Panel) . Hi, Sometimes I notices files that start with rmo and ended with .temp.htm (eg: RmoFY99.temp.htm) in my IE's history (the file's location is in "user"/appdata/local/temp/). When I try to access it, IE says it cannot find it anymore. I do set IE to delete all data on exit. MSE &amp eset online scanner found nothing. After upgrading from XP to windows 7, I'm constantly getting msg that my graphics card drivers had to recover, I'm also blank screens and have to manually restart my computer. I've updated my video drivers and it's still happening. Before I upgraded to 7 I ran the windows advisor and it showed that the ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro AGP was compatible.
