My microphone had been working properly but recently it has changed. Now it is making too much noise. No level or boost tune helps. External microphone behaves the same way. What might be the reason? How to fix it? (Toshiba Tecra A11, Win 7) View the thread

Hello- I believe I have had this problem before, or at least something about an invalid Windows on my laptop. I resolved it once, and now it seems to be back for some odd reason. I have had this laptop (Dell XPS 15") for over a year now, and have no had problems, until two minutes ago when I was cleaning out some programs and then restarted my laptop to also install some updates from Windows. I can only assume I either deleted something important, or an update messed with my laptop in some way, considering it has not happened since the first time, and I know very well that this copy of windows is absolutely valid (it obviously came with my laptop from Dell, I have not installed any new versions of windows or upgraded since purchasing this laptop) Can anyone help? Hello, I get this message "the configuration data for this product is corrupt. contact ..." when trying to install Sentinel from Safenet. I opened a file with adobe reader and forgot to uncheck the box that says to open all files with adobe. Now the adobe reader icon has taken over all my programs and I can't open them anymore. Is there a way to fix it? Thanks View the thread

Every time I try and install Windows Updates, the updates download and then install. When the system then goes through the process of restarting it reaches 15% and then shuts down and restarts. When it reaches 15% again it sticks at that point and then says the istall has failed and the reverts the system to what it was prior to the update.I have not been able to update my system for many months and frankly am fed up with this problem.I ahve tried the various fixes such as Mr Fix and all to no avail. I am am no computer nurd so any fix needs to be done by someone else or simple fix for a non computer savvy person such as I can sort this out View this thread

The only thing I can find is office.com/getoffice, but that makes you sign in with an account and it doesn't give you the installation files. I need to install office on multiple computers. I don't want to download it multiple times from that site and login each time. Where can I get the actual installation files? View this thread

I wonder if I could see what files might have been removed, as it seems the performance of my laptop has dramatically improved recently since I deleted quarantined items. I didn't make a note of what I was removing and thought it would have been a good idea to have been aware of what may have caused the problem. View this thread

I have ripped some mix and compilation CDs Windows Media Player automatically tags the songs as belonging to those mix/compilation albums. I would like the tracks to instead be sorted into their original (source) albums. For example, Fleetwood Mac "The Chain" should be track 7 of "Rumours," not track 18 of "The Very Best of Fleetwood Mac." I used to be able to do this through "Advanced Tag Editor," but that option is not available in the Windows 7 media player. When I try to change the album info for a particular song (either through "Find Album Info" or manually editing), Windows Media Player changes ALL of the songs in the compilation album to that new album title. Drag and drop doesn't work either -- I don't already have the album to which I wish to relocate the compilation tracks. How do I separate the tracks of a compilation CD and sort them into new albums? Hi,I installed Windows 8 Enterprise 64 bit as To-Go-Version on a 32 GByte-USB-3.0-Stick.All seems to work fine, but Windows Update fails with error code 80070005.Several forum entries say, the USB Stick with Windows on it has to be set as fixed disk instead of removable, but I don't know how to do this, I only found solutions for 32 bit-Systems.
