  1. Well at the moment I have a pc run windows xp sp 3 Amd 2800 1 G DDR ram and a laptop which is again xp sp3 but only has 512 and is 1.7ghz .. I dont really want to purchase a new laptop :-( but was rather hoping I could get away with mounting the server on one of them ? Like I said I just want to get the basic feel of it and dont want to start adding domains and clients (well not at first) I know that the specs of the above 2 are not exactly great but there must be a way of getting access to the platform without having to get a pc/laptop for this sole purpose
  2. First of all hello, and hope I am in the right forum. I am starting to study for my mcp's in 2008 server however I would like to be able to mount 2008 server on my pc/laptop via virtual machine 2007. But in order for it to run (within acceptable perameters) for the primary resaon of just getting to know the system not to actally put it under any kind of serious load by adding extra domains and clients. What are the minimum specs for a laptop or pc (would prefer to use laptop as can learn at work) I will be kind enough to advise Many Thanks
