I have a Windows Server 2008 Standard with a Raid1 config. When it boots it says that the raid is online and functional. It then gives you the choice of starting normally, last known func ( doesnt have one) security login etc etc. When i choose Normall it goes black and the harddrives are going wild. Nothing happens. When i choose Secure login it stops at in the middle of the driver loading. It worked one time after I did a chkdsk. I loged in and checked the logs. There were nothing of value there. It had a lots of failed windows update, so I ran all the updates again. Reboot the server and the same problem is their again. Have anyone seen this before or heard of it?…

I recently installed a phone system into a customers site. We have a soft phone application that we loaded on a few of the customers PCs. When we open one it works fine. When we open the second we get an error, Server.exe.config Only one usage of each socket address. In this Server.exe.config file on the local pc it is set to point to url=tcp://localhost:8000/MyApp/. Working with tech support we found that the software uses tcp port 8000 to open up the GUI for the application on the localhost, and this is somehow being blocked. The customer has an ISA server, we have found that when we remove the computers with the soft phone application from the domain or di…

Windows IT Pro Apple's meteoric rise over the past decade has been matched only by Microsoft's somnolence. But this week, an outside party worked to somewhat rebalance the scales. ... View the full article

And the screen shot below is Aero Peek working ... just love it ! :D .
