Hi. I have a new computer (our fourth), and am totally new to burning CD's. For some of the work that I do, I would like to burn data files to CDs, and have the ability to edit them from within the CD, and, save those edited files. Is this possible? "One" of the pre-loaded software that I have is "Nero Express." I have searched those help files exhaustively and cannot come up with an answer. I then called my IS brother-in-law who informs me that of course I should be able to do that - and just told me to read the help files. I then contacted Nero tech support, who informed me that in order to edit "on the fly" I need to get more software, i.e., "InCD." Does anyone…

Hi all, I am new to the forum and have a major problem with XP I am hoping you can help me with. The machine will not obtain an address from the DHCP server. When I do an IPconfig this is the results: C:\Documents and Settings>ipconfig Windows 2000 IP Configuration There is no reference to even the NIC. The NIC has been replaced by the first admin who was on the scene. I have installed and additional USB NIC to see if I could get anything with no results I thought it had something to do with a corrupt TCP/IP stack so I used the netsh int ip reset with no results. Ok I have this folder on my desktop and I can't delete it. I have tried going into safe mode and deleting it that didn't work I have taken ownership over the folder and I still cannot delete it. The error I get when I attempt to delete it is: Cannot delete .unwise : Cannot find the specified file. Make sure you specify the correct path and file name. I have gone int my task manager and made sure no other programs where using it but I still can't get rid of it. If someone could help me I would appreaciate it. Thanks.

I am at the end of my rope with my system. My system was functioning until I changed PC cases. I am particular about anti-static wrist straps etc and take the usual precautions. Previously, my PC was slowish but I think that it just needed a reformat. Post case change, I have had several odd errors. It led me to reformat the hard disk and since I wanted more space, I bought a new 250gb SATA drive. I get all manner of BSOD errors, usually surrounding sysdata.xml and some other file, and I am most prone to it when I use DVDDecrypter, MS Word or Nero. I am currently running windows XP on my system (specs are Asus A7V8X motherboard, 1 gig DDR ram, 2800xp processor and a 9600pro graphics card) but occasionaly getting the "blue screen of death" come up saying an error has ocured from winacusb.sys - i then have to restart my computer. Hello there, Seems i've got a bit of a problem with my Windows 2k. I can't get some of the .exe software on my harddisk to work. These .exe aren't from programs already installed on my system but are like the .exe game demos or other software setup programs. Could it be some core system Win2k file is already corrupted? I am adding a new site to the network and I need someone to create logo for the new site. The site will be Extreme Web Dev and will reside at http://extremewebdev.com. The domain currently points to this site. I am developing the site on the dev server. The colors of the site will be done in greys, whites and a lighter blue than we use here. I just bought an External USB hard drive backup system for my small company. It works just like they said it would. I plugged it in and the OS recognized the five drives as if they were installed in the local machine. The problem is, when I pull the drives to take off site on Friday and throw next weeks drive in all my drives get new letters. This is causing me to have to redo my backup schedule for the new drive letters. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do?

Ive downloaded the free 64 bit xp beta from ms site, but theres no install product id, nor in the confirmation email i had from ms, so what product install id are you supposed to use. Thanks Stickygreen
