I am unable to download/save any programs or open attachamnets from internet explorer 7! I have tried a restore (no success), disabled add ons, turned off Norton, changed startup menu, changed internet tools and nothing. When I open a file it progresses and disappears when saving to desktop sometimes the icon will appear for a split second and then disappear. My temporary file is empty?? Any Ideas?? -- HELP!!

Hi, My WIndows XP machine recently blue screened on me. I was able to copy my profiles for FIrefox and Outlook etc over to my D Drive. I then formatted my C Drive and reloaded Windows XP. WHen it was installed, I was unable to access my D, E or F drives. I was able to set permissions for my profile, and Administrator so that I could access the drive, but I now cannot access any of the folders within it. ANy ideas where I am going wrong. Really appreciate any help on this. THanks

Hi, I want to know whether it is possible for Windows Server 2003 to log down command or action done on it. If yes, how to accomplish this. Thanks. SK

In outlook express, I could insert numerous photos in my email. Now with Windows Mail can onle send two (2). If I try to insert more it will delete one of the photos already in the email. Anyone else have this problem and is there a fix for this.

In Vista, when I open up a directory- and I choose view icons (of any size)- I can see icons of tif, jpeg and gif files but not wmf or cgm file types. Is there any way to get Vista to show these? I have other graphic programs which can show those files, but I like to be able to quickly view a folder's collection of images as icons. Joe

Hi, WindowsUpdate website just suddenly not working on my machine. I am using IE7, when I visit WindowsUpdate, click on the custom button and it shows there are some update available from here, no matter which link I click in left pane, the whole WindowsUpdate page will appear again within right pane asking me to choose Express or Custom. Please help. Thank you.

I have a directory shared on the network, a Windows 2003 domain, this directory is on a server that has other shares too but they work fine.This one when you open MY COMPUTER,and double click on the network drive, ask you with what program you wish to open it, as it was an unknown file. if you right-click and select Explore, it works fine and open it. How can i set the default action to be Open with Windows Explorer? Thanks for any inputs Bye

What I would like to do is move my Windows OS from the Raid 0 Array to a SATA single drive. What I have encountered in attempting to do this is nothing but problems. Thus here I am. Currently I have two Raid 0 Arrays. The Windows OS is set up on a 25 GB partition on the first partition. The thinking behind this was by putting the OS on a small partition it would be easier to backup and restore. There are two other partitions of about 10 GB each where my data is stored and one more partition of approximately 420 GB where video and audio files are stored. I have installed Vista Home Premium and following instructions with the software, backed up my docs etc and Outlook on an external hard drive. Restored backup to Vista, everything is fine except that I do not have any of my email, which came from 2 different computers, but both from backup. Any assistance to recover would be appreciated. my webcam is built into my computer...how in the world do i plug that in? suddenly, my webcam stopped working and i have no idea why. it is telling me that " it isnt plugged in or another program is using it." i closed like every program that includes videos or pictures or anything adn it still doesnt work. So, I have installed Vista, and played around with it.. Now, after all the DRM hype, I am even a bit disappointed that.. I didn't find DRM so far! Seriously, where is it? I played so far MP3's, DVD's, some dodgy divx movies, listened to online radio, captured the stream from the online radio with audacity.. and nothing happened. Am I missing something? OK, I didn't try blu-ray and HD DVD, and I am sure, there are some restrictions with those, but, this is it, or what? After all DRM doom and gloom craze that I was reading everywhere, this is.. like watching a horror movie without any blood in it. No, seriously, where are all the evil restrictions?

Hi folks, I have this problem. I installed my brand new Vista Business (I used to have XP Pro Ent.), and ever since I installed the new Windows, my disc keeps on going the seeking noise and the HDD LED is up all the time. Didn't matter if I was actually doing something or the computer is idle, the situation never changes. Please let me know if you had the same prob or know how to solve that. Thanks a million. Pave
