I am using Win XP professional edition. I used to send pictures, and resize them, from Windows Explorer (selecting the pictures, File, Send To, Mail Recipient). I always then got the options to resize them (make files smaller), or not. Now, all of a sudden, this does not work anymore. Yes, I can still send them, but only in the original size. How come? TIA Roger.

Periodically, I receive a balloon popup message in the lower-right corner of my screen that claims that I am low on disk space. I am sure that this is untrue, however, because I have about 121 GB of free hard disk space. This error started when I resized my partition to make room for another operating system. I could probably suppress the error message, but I'd rather fix it altogether. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks! Jason

Hi, My PC is getting really slow, showing a lot of errors, and stuff in spite of being treated with registry mechanic several times. I've erased the cache, cleaned viruses and spywares in safe mode, deleted the unwanted files from the PC. What do you think I should do? I think that I might have to reinstall XP. I have the CD with me...The problem is I don't know the exact algorithm to do it.... I've heard that it is kinda dangerous too if you mess up...Anyway, why do we always have to reinstall from the blue screen during boot up? Why can't we put the CD and press reinstall button in the autorun menu? As you can see, I'm pretty confused....Please tell me wha…

I recently discovered (when I had no response to 2 job applications!) that when I click on an email address within a received email and send it - it doesn't register - the person it was sent to doesn't receive it and it does not appear in my sent folder. If I copy and paste the address into a new email, it works just fine. Roadrunner says it's a Microsoft problem Microsoft wants $49 just to hear the problem - can someone out there help me??? I do not have the Windows 2000 software - the computer was a gift already loaded and the software didn't come with it.

hi, i have a small problem here. sometimes, firefox crashes and gives me an error reporting box. i send the report and try to click the link for finding out the problem. at that moment, drwatson exe makes the CPU spin (i hear the stock fan and i see it in taskmgr) and this is when most of the computer stops responding. my question is, my report was sent, and i got the link to the problem. but i froze and had to reboot. is there somewhere where they keep the log of this on my computer, i would like to find out... many thanks! jo

Running XP Professional at home. Not connected to a network. When a particular user logs off, the system hangs: the cursor becomes an hourglass against a pale blue background screen. This seems to happen indiscriminately, but it happens often. To resolve, I must shut the PC down and restart. I have run anti-virus but it has not resolved the problem. Any ideas on how to resolve or what the problem might be? Thanks, Bob

I have a JVC GR-D72U camcorder, running Vista Home Premium. I tried using Windows Movie Maker to download my movies to my Dell computer, but it doesn't work. Movie Maker would run my camera, but would not transfer any files to the computer. I am running a firewire, and have a NVIDIA GeForce 7300 LE card. Is this a driver problem, and if so, does anyone know where I can get a driver that will work with Vista for this camera? I tried loading the driver that came with the camera, but it still doesn't work. Contacted JVC and, (not a shock), they never responded back to me. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated.

When trying to play a wmv I keep getting a pop-up box that says ..your current security settings do not allow this action. I have tried everything, changed all the settings as suggested, and searched all over help etc and can't work out how to change it.

I'm looking at purchasing an HP notebook from their business line. There are two choices for graphics adaptor as shown below. Graphics: Discrete: ATI Mobility RadeonTM X2300, with 64 or 128 MB of video memory (256 MB HyperMemory*) UMA: Mobile Intel GMA X3100, up to 384 MB of shared system memory *Indicates dedicated video memory and shared system memory. Either 64MB or 128MB dedicated video memory, depending on model. I'd appreciate any advice on which is preferable under what circumstances. I'm primarily interested in general overall speed. I won't be doing any video or other demanding, high-end, graphics. Thanks much for any advice. David

My husband downloaded a .exe file from a trusted ftp site and now the computer is stuck in a boot loop. I see the windows xp splash screen but that's it. If I boot in safe mode, I can see all the drivers load, but again it just reboots. I am in the recovery console, but don't know where to go from here. Does anyone know how to run the system restore from this point? Theresa
