None of my three Win98 computers have Power Management capability, yet one of them puts "Stand by" as a choice on the shut down menu. What causes the difference in these menu lists? Can I modify it to remove the "Stand by" choice?

We are in the process of planning a migration to a new domain due to a corproate restructure. We currenly have a TS license server in domain A and need to move it to domain B. Are there any issues with changing the domain membership of this server? Thanks. Ben

Hello all, I just completed my first 64 bit server with SQL 2005 64bit SP2 installed> I noticed that the Physical Ram is always consumed and the paging file is at 50% most of the time. IS this OS supposed to use all the physical ram? any insight you can provide is appreciated.

On a Windows Server 2003 Standard installation I find that the Help and Support service is actually not installed. It is not listed in Services, and other utilities (like sc getkeyname "Help and Support") tells me it is not on the system at all. It is not even listed in the available Windows components in Control Panel Add Or Remove Programs. How and from where can I acquire and install this service? -- TIA O-nilke

I wonder if anyone can help, for 4 weeks now, a second laptop running on XP home. Initial cause was a trojan, which with spybot has been removed. - It continued to hang. by using Task Manager, I was able to run internet explorer, and the files are still accessible. After some extensive research the answer appeared to be uploading all nessessary updates. Then running automatic updates, it updated over 51 updates, including sp2 and ie7. I now have to run the machine with MSCONFIG to get the thing to boot up to a point where I can do anything with it at all. When I try to get the desktop icons to load - by running explorer.exe, it attempts to do so seve…

Hi all, Can someone help? This matter is not really essential, but somewhat annoying. After playing some time on minesweeper, it freezes and cease to work (and worse, at the moment when I'm going to win...). Did someone experience this situation, and how can I cope with it? Many thanks in advance -- Cordialement JL
