  1. Running websites for a few years now, I've always relied on the benefits of shared hosting, but eventually one of my apps just got to big so I made the leap to my own (rented) Windows Server 2008 from which to run my site. It's a new world, but so far so good. I'm more of a programmer than a sysadmin/techie so I have a lot to learn. Hopefully this site will be useful to me and perhaps my own experiences may be useful to others.

  2. Please use one of the other forums to get help with your problems. Use this forum to introduce yourself to the community. Most of all Welcome to Fee PC Help Forum.

  9. Hi, sometimes I waste a lot of time trying to solve a problem myself, sometimes I get lucky and figure it out. Once in a while I use help and actually find the answer I'm looking for. and when I'm feeling really dumb I call MSN tech support and waste an hour listening to a well meaning person read of a script that turns out to be all the things I've already tried anyway. Anywho- hope I can find some answers here, Jim
