I know just enought to be dangerous about computers. I have built several for gaming applications. I'm a budget analyst in local governmet here in Boulder, Colorado. Hobbies are hiking and flying (I have an instrument rating). Looking forward to communicating with some of the people here. Bruce.

Hi, my first time here. Handle is OylE. I'm a Microsoft MCP, MCP+I (IIS 4.0), MCSA, MCSE(NT4/W2K), Cisco CCNA(It expired on me in Aug. 2004; Never recieved conf. from Cisco, so I still use it), Citrix CCA in Metaframe 1.8, and my newest cert is the CEH, the Certified Ethical Hacker. Passed the exam in Dec. 2004. Got the Cert finally in late April. Oh well. Looking for more info right now on WinHTTP Web Proxy Auto-Discovery Service for a client. OylE. :D

My name is Pierre and I love to program and work with computers. I do that as a hobby but I am a reference person for most of my friends and for many of my friends' friends. I was brought here as a result of a search on AltaVista (hey yes) about a problem I have on an old computer still with ME and which never boots on the first time. The friend of mine who owns it discovered that the only way to have it boot was to shut down the main power switch at the rear of the box, put it on and retry the front ON button. Most of the time she succeeded after doing this routine a few times. Today, it is worst. I brought the computer to my place and never succeeded…
