Hey all, Just wanted to introduce myself, Brian. I've been in IT coming on 20 years this next year. Covering everything, Windows, *nix, and OSX. I'm more of a Solaris and Mac OS X Server expert and maintain dozens, but only a few 2008 servers so far. Lately, I've had to set up quite a few, as one of my small businesses consults is growing rapidly, and finally decided to throw some money into the IT budget. Woo-hoo! So I've got some general questions coming at you guys, your help and recommendations would be extremely appreciated. Thanks, and glad to be on board.

I'll be first to introduce myself to anyone that happens along. My name is Bob Schwarz and I am the owner of this community as well as a few other which are all a part of Schwarz Network. I am an avid Microsoft supporter and also a beta tester of Microsoft software. I like to be on the bleeding edge so I will run the betas as my main software. In doing so I learn a lot. I will use Microsoft Help Forums to share that knowledge and help people.

Hi Everyone. I'm new to the "Server World" and I'm looking for advice of where to start. I'm retired Navy, so I have some GI Bill benefits to use, but I'm just not sure what courses are needed for a solid foundation. I'm just your basic home user, not a novice nor an expert. Thanks for the help & advice, Kevin

This site, like many... allows BBCode to be used for formatting posts etc. BBCodes are simply code 'tags' that you can add to your posts that allows you to change the formatting of the text. You can add 'underlines', make text bold, change colors, colors, colors etc. There are a number of ways that you can achieve this: Manual method Code 'tags' are in 2 parts... the opening 'tag' and the closing 'tag' ( you need to add both for the formatting to work) Here's a small example of 'tags': Let's see how this works in practise.. If you were to type this... Would appear like this.... This is bold Just the same with italic..... Would appear like…

Hi all, I'm Andrew also known as Mysterchr. I live in Morgantown, West Virginia, also known as east coast US. I am a system engineer for T3Corp, and also do some consulting on the side. I've been an admin/engineer for nearly seven years. My top most relevant credentials are MCP, MCTS, MCSA, MCSE, MCITP, A+, Net+, and Sec+. I'm of course here to help others in their journey but I'm also hoping to learn new things as well. Participating in forums like this one is part of what I do to train. I'm the type that learns best by either doing it or at least talking about. The only other thing I can think of at this point that you should know about me is that I'm a horrible spe…
