I went through the steps and I finally got JRT and Malwarebytes to find the adware that is sabotaging my computer. I actually think that SavingsBull has gotten tough with me because it knows that I am trying to remove it. I had some success with JRT and Malwarebtyes. They each found different programs i.e. line items that related to some adware, but in JRT it "failed to delete" and Malwarebytes there was "No action taken". SavingsBull has taken over my computer. Everytime I click on a button or type in a URL I am first taken to websites like Insurancegirl or Jobs.com. I also have been having numerous long running scripts that wont shut off. I've installed Wine on Linux Mint 16 to run setup.exe files from Windows, but when i run the .exe file, a very small-sized window appears, the setup seems to work but i can't read anything. The same happens when i run wine configurations, then i think the problem is on Wine application. The window looks minimized, but it's not possible to maximize or resize it! I was given an unused Panasonic Tough Book CJ-29 for our club's use. We need it mostly for presentation with a projector using the CD/DVD function. I cannot get the DVD to play, When we put in DVD it's not recognized and a message appears that states we need to insert a disc??? Hello all, I am having a strange problem, the horizontal scroll bar in all my folders is not working like it should. When ever I want to move it to the right it jumps back to the front, if I move it all the way it goes straight back. Same is done when I view any pictures in "filmstrip" mode, when I want to add a file to an email, when I search through folders. Basically when I want to search through any folder, I can see only the 1st bit and cant move in any place, it will just move back to original on its own. I read an article recently that running XP Pro with full privileges was a security risk, so I set up and Administrator account. First time I powered back on, I have lost access to my apps. My text editor will allow me to open files, but I cannot save them after changes. Entire directories and folders with multiple BAT files that run various processes cannot be accessed because they have \administrator\ in the path. Doing this was the biggest mistake I ever made.
