Trying to connect new LG Tone Ultra headset to Dell Inspiron N5110 running Windows 7 Home Premium. During the first few attempts the headset paired just fine, but no sound. While attempting to troubleshoot that issue, I removed and added the headset a few times. Now the headset says it is "connected," but it does not show up in the device menu. Laptop: Dell Inspiron OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit w/ Service Pack 1 I'm having issues with installing/uninstalling programs and have to keep using the Windows Installer FixIt to install or uninstall. However, I can't seem to use that for Windows Update. When trying to update Windows I get error Code 800704B3. I've run the following fixes as indicated on Microsoft's web site: "Windows Update Diagnostic Tool" AND "Reset Window Update History" AND ran the registry fix that you copy into Notepad and then run. I am trying to run Windows defender offline (32-bit version) on a computer at work. It's an Inspiron 530 desktop PC running Windows Vista (I don't know all the computer's specs and my boss is offsite and not available for questions). I hit F12 and select USB drive (which is what defender offline was saved to) and then I get a black screen with a flashing cursor in the upper left corner. And that's it. Is it running? I have an Apple email account, xxxx@mac.com. It dates way back to the .Mac days. Mostly I use it on my desktop iMac machine, but my iPad also sees it. Recently something weird (to me) has begun. I'm trying to migrate an address book from a machine running Snow Leopard to one running Mavericks. The Snow Leopard machine no longer boots so I'm trying to restore from a Time Machine backup. I've tried the following recipe: 1. Remove ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/AddressBook-v22.abcddb 2. Copy all files from backup's Metadata folder into the Maverick's metadata folder 3. yesterday my cat sat on my laptop as he has a tendency to do but somehow he has managed to disable my wireless connection. I really need to get back on line. Under Edit connections. I've done some namespace configurations with router interface and static-routes and everything looks fine. connected 2 namespaces - OK. Connected namespace to the 'outside' network - OK. All these are OK when I configure the namespace and network from linux shell with iproute2 commands. Hello all, I have bought this Toshiba M50DA103 in the aim of eventually removing the pre-installed Windows 8 and install my flavour of Linux on it instead. However, there is an annoying problem with the function keys, a problem that appeared after I installed Ubuntu Linux. The function keys seem all messed up (the key that is supposed to increase the brightness suspends the computer instead, and so on.) I first thought it might be a problem with Ubuntu only, but then I tried to boot Fedora, and the problem is still the same.
