Hi everyone, I've tried searching for a solution in many other forums but in order solve this problem I apparently had to have the exact same error message. However, I couldn't find a forum in which others had reported a problem exactly like mine. So far, every time I get this message on start up, on my desktop, I just click "Quit" and go on with my work. I've recently put my computer back to its factory state because it was extremely cluttered and nearly impossible to work with. Everything was working fine until three days ago when I had to go through another windows update and this message appeared. However, just before the update, I installed just a few pr…

When I try to send photos using Windows Live Mail the recipient gets a number of files (13 on one instance) that are nonsense. I have tried attach and insert and the photo option if it is listed. Several days ago I tried using our new printer (HPphotosmart 7520) for the first time to scan a picture and then send via e-mail. The e-mail never left my outbox. When I opened the file "word" had been used to try and send and there were a whole bunch of references that didn't make sense to me. Does this mean that all the photos I try to send are converted to Word ;therefore, I am sending "junk". I haven't always had this problem-maybe last 6 months (not sur…

Microsoft is deliberately infecting 100,000's of computers with Windows XP with IE8 here in Australia with a virus programmed by Microsoft, and installed via Microsoft Security Updates. All security features are blocked by this Microsoft virus, and even the Microsoft Tech Support ( phone :132058 for Australians and New Zealanders ) cannot remove the viruses. Firewall blocked, System restore back beyond 7th February 2014 when I first contacted Microsoft Tech Support ( and many many tries thereafter ) blocked, the " Tools " no longer has Internet Options available, etc etc . All Security downloads and repairs CANNOT be downloaded or accessed. I can only access my internet…

I have my MSE scan to start automatically on Friday afternoon. Typically I only use the computer for an hour or so after this and then the computer goes to sleep after 45 minutes of inactivity. Is there any way to automatically have it operate until the scan is complete and then go to sleep. Typically the scan takes 4-5 hours when the computer is on, but it can still be scanning 15-18 hours later if it goes to sleep. I know I can manually fix this, but can it be automated? Continue reading...

Every time I boot up my laptop (using windows 7) , my fans start going as if I was playing a game on the highest graphical settings. I have checked around the web and havent found a solution. Ive used hitman pro, which recognizes the svchost.exe to be potential malware, but after I quarantine it my computer cant/wont connect to the internet. I have also tried TDSSkiller but it didnt catch anything. The only thing that allows me to actually use my computer efficiently is when I stop the process using a task manager, something that I have to do each time I start up my computer. Please help! I don't have any mobile devices, but I know a lot of people now access their bank accounts on the go. A BBC report says "Don't do it!". Apparently criminals can easily spoof a wi-fi hotspot and then read everything you enter. Most Internet cafes have a password for their free wi-fi, but it's often chalked up on a board over the counter and seldom changed. Such a network is easily spoofed. Even using secure sites with https is no sure protection. Once you are on the spoof network, special software allows them to play "man in the middle". They intercept the key the site sends you and provide you with their own key instead. That way they can decrypt your input, steal y…

Beats Music has opened up its API to the public, allowing third-party developers access to its service and catalog of music. The newest kid on the block in the streaming game has already shared its API privately with the likes of Sonos, but this presents the opportunity for more ways to get it. From CNET: "If you're willing to pay $100 a year for music, which in my experience for all the world's music is a tremendous bargain, you should have access to music anywhere you might want it, in your car, house, anywhere," Beats Music Chief Executive Ian C. Rogers told CNET in an interview. Beats Music is still U.S. exclusive, and will be playing catch up for a while a…

Apple on Thursday released the first beta seed of OS X 10.9.3. It's now available for download by those registered with Apple's Mac developer program. The build number for this release is 13D12. It was only last week that Apple publicly released OS X 10.9.2, which fixed an important SSL security problem, added FaceTime Audio, made improvements to Mail and more. Apple's release notes for OS X betas are covered under their non-disclosure agreement with developers, so we won't report on the contents. But if you're a registered Mac developer, get yourself over to Apple's developer site and check it out for details. Continue reading...

Earlier this week we wrote about an impending update for the iTunes Festival app that was expected to require iOS 7.1 and thus would mean that iOS 7.1 would be coming soon and that's not what happened at all. Well, the iTunes Festival app did get an update for SXSW with a refreshed design good for the iTunes Festival at SXSW (starting March 11 and running through the 15th with the likes of Coldplay, Kendrick Lamar, Capital Cities, Keith Urban, and Willie Nelson all in attendance). But it didn't get a requirement for iOS 7.1 — in fact the minimum required version is a mere iOS 7.0. That doesn't mean that iOS 7.1 and all of the improvements and fixes that we've been h…

The South By Southwest (SXSW) festival will be employing iBeacons during the festival this year for an improved experience. Attendees will be able to interact with the iBeacons through the official SXSW Go app. iBeacon technology is becoming increasingly popular for large events, with CES hosting an iBeacon-powered scavenger hunt at this year's show, and Major League Baseball is installing them at many of their parks. As SXSW, iBeacons will be used to help facilitate things like badge pickup and attendee engagement, according to 9to5Mac: Specifically, it will be using the technology to “help attendees in Austin pick up their badge faster and get more involved in the…

I personally would love to have a windows xp second edition. I love the windows xp user interface, everything about it. Also your Enterprise consumers use Windows XP and are holding on to it because their software is dependent on it. Home Users love it because it is simple to use and is still fun to use. I love it for all of these reasons, plus i love how resource friendly it is and how simple it is to use. I am an advanced windows user, and when windows 8 came out, it confused me a lot because the UI was different. If you were to create an XP second edition, I'm sure your customers would buy up 200 million or more licenses in the first few months. I know i would buy the…

I signed up with Skype long ago with an EarthLink account that is now closed; I use a "gmail" account now (only). I, apparently, have an incorrect password so I can't access my Skype account. I can't use the password retrieval option as the system sends the message to the former and closed earthlink account. I can't access my profile in Skype to change/update my email address, nor can I contact Skype (apparently) via email, chat, phone, nothing, or in any way to update my account with my new email address. Once amended, then link my Skype and Microsoft accounts together, as well as get Skype downloaded on my new computer. Any ideas out there? Continue reading..…
