To go along with the release of iOS 7.1, Apple has released an update for the Apple TV. Version 6.1 allows users to hide unwanted channel icons from the main screen. Previously, you would need to navigate to Settings, then go through the list of available content sources and hide them. Now, all you need to do is highlight an icon on the screen, then press and hold the select button until the icons start to jiggle. Select the channel you want to hide, then hit the Play/Pause button to bring up the options, then press Hide. To undo this, simply go to Settings > Main Menu, then select the desired channel. Hi, My laptop developed a major issue yesterday which resulted in my husband having to spend around 6-7 hours repairing the installation. I now want to create a back up to prevent us ever having to go through the same ordeal again but need some advice, please. I'm running XP home edition so the back up wizard isn't installed as standard. I understand that I can use my installation disc to install it manually. However, my installation disc only contains service pack 2. My laptop has service pack 3 installed (installing this alone took over an hour and a half last night). Hi. I'm helping my friend out who has a problem with his computer running Windows 8. It started with his computer freezing up and he had to reboot it. After rebooting, he was met only by a black screen for about 30 minutes followed by a flashin BSOD (the smiley one). No error code. I made a bootable USB drive with Windows 8 on it, downloaded from Microsoft's website. After booting from it, I'm presented by the Windows 8 logo, a spinning circle, but then it goes black, and after 5-30 minutes I'm get the same BSOD. I have a Windows 8 laptop that I shared with my daughter. We had separate user accounts. Mine was an administrator account, hers was not. I recently bought her her own laptop and attempted to delete her account on my laptop. I did so by going to user accounts in Control Panel and deleting it. The delete process worked but left behind her user account folder (c:\users\account_name). I attempted to delete it but was told I needed permission from Administrators to perform that function even though mine was an administrator account. after reinstalling win 7, I can not leave the previous home group The option is NOT on the screen. This reinstall was made necessary when I got a virus and when I finally got to putting in things to the network options....etc,etc,etc. I was tired and having problems with my MS so I wasn't thinking clearly. Recently my computer has been affected by a worm detected as SillyFDC by norton antivirus. Now my autoplay doesnt run when I plug in my thumbdrive and since my laptop does not have a disk drive, I also have to plug in an external dvd drive into my laptop. Now any external drives I plug in does not have the autoplay showing up. Now I cant read cd discs at all too no matter what external cd drives I plug in as it has the yellow exclamation mark under the device manager part and after uninstalling the driver, the problem still arises.
