I downloaded digital pictures from a camera and created a file for them to go into. When I could not find the file I remembered part of the file name and did a search. The search came up with the pictures but I cannot see where the file is located--in C drive, my documents, or where. How can I figure this out? Hi Jessen P, Thank you for replying to my query about the browsing history that drops down from the "Search box" in IE11 when you click (even accidentally!!) on the BORDER of the box. In answer to your question about Google, I am assuming that because Search is provided by Google whose name appears next to my search box, it might be in Google's interests to discreetly compile a browsing history which is non-deletable for marketing purposes. After restarting my laptop which is running Windows 8, I've encountered a problem that I have not recently had with logging into my user account, or any other account for that matter. After the restart, I attempted to enter my usual pin that I've used hundreds of times and a message come up saying "The password is incorrect. Try again." It will only let me attempt to use my password and not my pin. Hi, We are using a Windows 8.1 system running a Windows Desktop application in a kiosk application. The machine is a standard desktop PC with a seperate touchscreen, and customers have figured out that they can swipe the left and right edges of the screen to bring up the Charms bar etc. We have disabled the 'hot corners', but it still remains possible to swipe in from the edge of the screen to bring up these bars. Original Title:Folders won't open Okay, so I click on the folder icon on my bottom bar, and it goes to a blank screen and then back to my desk top. The folders didn't open at all. No message or anything. I have to right click on the icon and then hit the documents folder. I have a Dell laptop, company issued, recently freshly installed with Windows 7. At my desk I have two Dell monitors arranged in Extended Desktop. At what seems like random times, maximized windows don't extend all the way to the right edge of one or the other screen. Sometimes it seems to happen when returning from Lock Screen. Sometimes it seems to happen after I've accessed something in my System Tray. I can see the background showing through the gap at the right, about 20% of the total screen real estate (screenshot below, note the Chrome window is maximized). Hello all, new member here! :D I'm pretty new to the world of linux, but am loving every minute of it! Anyway, on to the issue. I am trying to install Ubuntu 12.04 on my Gateway NE56R41u laptop. The only issue I am having is the fact that I don't have any brightness controls. The FN keys will bring up a brightness control bar on the screen, however, the brightness just stays on 100%.
