Word is beginning to filter through the web that Apple is set to announce an 8GB variant of the iPhone 5c tomorrow. At least in Europe, anyway. Announced only a couple of weeks ago, Twitch streaming from mobile devices will soon make it's iOS debut with racing game Asphalt 8. The incorporation of Twitch in the game will allow gamers to broadcast their gameplay to the popular streaming service, and include chat functionality. Microsoft OneNote for Mac is now official and is available to download from the Mac App Store. We heard just last week that it was on the way, and Microsoft hasn't disappointed. OneNote has been absent from the Mac until now, but what has been delivered looks in every way a full featured experience. Better still, OneNote for Mac is a free download, though the Mac App Store listing does say this is for a "limited time." New details have emerged about Apple's rumored Healthbook application, reportedly coming in iOS 8. The application is supposed to track several points of health and fitness data and utilizes a card-based interface similar to Passbook, with a card for each health category. Healthbook is said to be able to track your activity, weight, and nutrition, as well as monitor your blood, watching blood sugar levels, oxygen saturation, and blood pressure. I play internet hearts frequently and complete very few games with all of the players. They drop out before and after one card is played and I play with robots. Why couldn't the software get changed to penalize the drop out players. Maybe, they can't return for one hour. Maybe, if ,they drop out more than three times they are penalized. I have a PC with an OEM CoA which has a Windows XP Professional product key. I do not have the original OEM CD for reinstalling XP. However, I do have a CD of Windows XP Professional with its own product key. I can install this on the machine with the CD's product and this works. It does not work if I try to use the CD with the machines own product code. Ok a bit of background. Back in the late 1990's I was a MS MVP for desktop operating systems, I have never seen an issue like this so I am stumped. Wife has a HP Envy m4-1015DX laptop. It is running an up to date version of Win8. The laptop has an Qualcomm Atheros QCA9565 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter. The wife has had significant network flakiness on this machine. Just odd stuff here and there, I have removed and re-installed the drivers etc. Today she sends me a txt saying she cant access our server (Fedora 19 server running samba) she had rebooted and still couldn't reach it. I bought a Windows 8.1 tablet and opted to have the code sent to my phone. The number was gabbled twice before I could get a pen, followed by 'Goodbye'. There was no way to repeat the process. I clicked 'Unable to complete process at this time'. Apparently Windows 8.1 is 'Activated'. Should I attempt to get the process repeated and how would I do it? Hi Ben It looks like I have to do a Clean install to be able to upgrade to 8.1 I currently have Windows 8 but when I try to upgrade, it tells me that I have to uninstall MSE before the download can be completed. THERE'S NO MSE IN MY SYSTEM so how can I uninstall it when it's not there???? My laptop came out of the box with Windows 8 installed. It hasn't been upgraded from Windows 7 which I read can cause problems if MSE is not uninstalled prior to the upgrade. Not the case here so do you have a solution? Thanks Continue reading...

My dad had a power outage at his home and now when we try to turn on his computer, we get a black screen with the message "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key. When I go into the BIOs setup under boot, boot device priority, I changed the first priority to the hard drive and saved, but got the same error when it restarted. For some reason recently, emails with attachments (pdf's, xls, docx etc) are not coming through to my Hotmail account. The senders ares "safe". I have two old laptops, one is Dell D600, the other is IBM Lenovo T42. Each is running its own Windows XP Pro OEM, with SP3 and all frameworks and updates turned on. In the IBM Lenovo T42, MSE shows up on the MOUSE POINTER, so that I can scan a particular folder, i.e., downloads is the one I scan the most. In the Dell D600, however, MSE is not on the mouse pointer at all, I am not able to scan a specific folder. This is not good. I would appreciate knowing [a] why MSE is not on the mouse pointer in the D600; and if it can be added, how to add it? Do you have an automated FIX for this? Maybe needs to add a registry key? My mouse has a wicked mind of it's own. It is jumpy and at times races all over the screen. I have uninstalled it from Device Manager more than six (6) times, then went to the Action Tab to select Scan For Hardware Changes, to no avail.
