From killing apps in the background faster to making better use of your Lock screen, these jailbreak tweaks make power users even more powerful! iOS 7 does what Apple wants it to do, and that's fine for most people most of the time. If you're a power user, however, and you want to go beyond the base functionality, if you want tweak things to make them even faster and more convenient, then that's where jailbreak comes in. But which jailbreak power-user tweaks are the absolute best? JellyLock7 JellyLock7 puts up to five of your most used apps right on the Lock screen of your jailbroken iPhone or iPad. You can also remove the stock Camera icon on the Lock scre…

Seems the developers at Facebook working on Facebook for iOS have been rather busy as of late. Just last month they released v7.0 that contained a few bug fixes but this time around they've jumped all the way to v8.0 that actually brings some notable changes for folks who like to share photos from albums in addition to an updated design for iPad users according to the change log that accompanied the update. A simple way to see and choose a photo album's audience An updated design that makes it easier to post and share on iPad Improvements for reliability and speed Looking through the history of the updates, it's a bit of an odd occurrence that they went from v7…

The iPad 4 could be set to replace the ancient iPad 2 as Apple's lower-end, full-sized tablet as early as tomorrow. Combined with rumors of an 8GB iPhone 5c, if everything plays out, we could see an end to the venerable 30-pin Dock connector, and the new Lightning plug run the Apple line. Mark Gurman writing for 9to5Mac: With the $399 iPad 2 seeing extreme supply constraints, it seems likely that this fourth-generation model is designed to re-ignite iPad growth at the $399 price point and it will replace the aging iPad 2. The iPad 2 remains Appleā€™s last tablet with the legacy 30-pin dock connector, and the return of the fourth-generation iPad would bring Lightning p…

How long will XP updates up until April 2014 be available. If I reformat Windows XP in July 2014 can I still get all the updates prior to April 2014? I still use SCSI Plextor CDR recorders for the real time 1X speed burn duplication. I tried windows 7 32 bit with the Adaptec 2930 controller card that is supported (32 bit only). But windows 7 did not like those CDR drives. I had to reformat back to XP pro. Rick Continue reading...

Hello During the update process of the most recent Windows 8 update I had a machine blue screen. After restarting the PC, it tried to automatically repair the system but failed, leaving a text document called srttrail.txt. I then tried using the command prompt under the troubleshooting section of the recovery environment and navigated to the user's documents area. I found that all the user's documents have been deleted apart from one or two files. I then found out that the disk usage was about 30GB used whereas it was more closer to around 500gb+ before. All the user installed programs had gone too. I took the HDD out, put it in another PC and ran Recuva to see…

Long story short, I had to restart my laptop after I instaled a few upgrades. Usually, I can close the lid if I need to go anywhere and when I come back it keeps working just fine. Today I tried it again, but now all it does is show me the samsung logo before it goes to an error screen for a few seconds and then it starts all over again. so far, nothing has helped me. I have n cd or anything like that that I can use and the computer won't accept anykeyboard comands. as you can see, I am in a very frustrating situarion and I was hoping to get some help here. If anyone can give me any advice, please help me. I would very much apreciate it. Continue reading...

I keep getting an IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL blue screen when I boot Windows normally. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling audio and video drivers, attempted a system restore, and used diagnostic startup to turn off anything that I could imagine interfering. I don't get the name of the interfering driver like some other IRQL errors seem to get on this board, but I do have my dump files and system xml. Can anyone help me identify the problem? I have this virus(win64/Rovnix.gen!C) on my Toshiba Laptop, Windows Vista, Home Edition, 64 bit. All attempts at downloading, from Windows Defender Offline, to the latest Kaspersky free downloads have been futile. For example, on Defender Offline i am told to connect to the internet, of course I am, or with Kaspersky, i am told 'unable to complete', or other such dialogue boxes. I am not truly computer savvy but am i correct in assuming this virus stops the 'fixing' procedures i am trying to do? My home/family desktop is an old xp model, and it will not allow me to do any of the steps either. Any suggestions, help!!!...Thanks... Continue reading...
