We met up with the folks from Glu at GDC 2014 to talk about their recent release, Frontline Commando 2. The original was a fantastic finger-friendly shooter where players dove between bits of cover and strategically pop their heads out to take out aggressors, and for the sequel they've added a whole bunch of new features. This time you're not alone, and have a wide range of AI allies that you can call in for supportive fire. There's also a competitive PVP mode where players can take the fight online. As usual, there's a massive armory of weapons and equipment to purchase and customize as you progress through the campaign, but the graphics on everything have been seriously…

I am running Windows 8.0 Samsung service recently had to wipe and reset the computer. The XPS Printer is not printing now. It worked before. I use QuickBooks and it uses it to print and send invoices. I need to change the settings on the XPS Printer to "Allow" "Everyone" to do everything that is checkable. However, all the boxes to check are grayed out and will not allow me to check them. I went into "Advanced Settings" and it did not allow me to do it either. I ran the computer in "Safe Mode" to change the security settings on the printer. But, in Win 8.0 (& 8.1 so I found out), I can not view printers in safe mode. How do I change the sec…

I have users that remote to server to work. The problem is when they RDP to this server, their local PC's aren't showing up like it used to. When they go to devices and printers on the remote server no printers are in there. When they try to add a printer they get a message sayig that the print spooler is not running or that the PC cannot connect to the printer. I've done the stop and restart the spooler on the local server, I've ran a spooler clean up tool, I've ran malwarebytes and anti virus protection, and I've also deleted and re-added a printer. (I hope it doesn't come to that because we hae over 120 printers throughout my organization.) I've rebooted the print serv…

I was contacted by someone on the phone and was told they were from microsoft. They informed me that I was being hacked and that they were in control of my system. They also told me that my wifi is being used or will be used in the future for criminal activity. Without questioning it at the time I gave them access to my computer and they showed me where the hacker was and what he was doing. They informed me that they have all my passwords now, that they are in control of my norton security, and that they can do whatever they want in my system. That they could at any moment. They claim to have fixed the problem and they installed a cleaning program. But then they tried to…

I am having a real problem with pop up ads that are overwhelming my computer, almost to the point of making it unusable. I have installed AdBlocker Plus, but it continues. The worst offender is "Instant Checkmate", which pops up to cover what I am attempting to do on numerous sites. It seems worse since I have installed the ad blocker. I am searching and find it has something to do with YonToo Adware possibly? AdBlocker informs me it is nearly impossible to uninstall YonToo. Certainly beyond my capabilities. Someone, somewhere must have this problem also. It makes me re-think my purchase of a new computer and Windows *.1. They told me windows Defender would sort ou…

I built a new computer and purchased and installed windows 7 home premium on it. Up until this point I have been using windows xp pro and had no problems. now every time I am on Internet Explorer even with the pop-up blocker on I constantly get these stupid pop-up adds all over the place. I went on-line to get an adware scanner an found Regcure pro 100% free download. what a crock. the program loads free sure but it won't do anything other than scan and tell you that you have 600+ things wrong with your computer but to fix the you have to register the program at a cost of $35.99. If this is not a SCAM and FALSE ADVERTIZING I don't know what is. It seems to me that Micr…
