Hello, I'm trying to compile several files to build a kernel module. Here is the code of the Makefile : obj-m := gntringevt.o gntringevt-y := gntring3.o evtchn_functions.o all : make -C /lib/modules/$(shell uname -r)/build M=$(PWD) modules I already compiled single-file modules and it went ok, but here I get error messages such as : WARNING: "evtchn_unbind_from_user" [/home/fremals/xencomm/CommXen/gntringevt.ko] undefined! This undefined function is in evtchn_functions.c. I ran "nm" on the files gntring3.o and evtchn_functions.o. For gntring3.o, all function and variable symbols are there, but there are no symbols in evtchn_functions.c (that explains wh…

Editor's note: The iPhone 5c was released 6 months ago today. Since I've been using the iPhone 5s almost exclusively since then I wanted someone else, someone who's been using the iPhone 5c day in and day out, to write the follow up for Apple's other new phone. Someone perhaps not as steeped in the world of Apple and technology. So... I asked my mom. Here's her review.— Rene Hello iMore! I've been using an iPhone 5c for almost 6 months now and so my son, Rene, asked me to share some thoughts on what that experience has been like. I'll start by saying that while the iPhone 5c isn't my first mobile phone it's the first one I've really used. Many years ago, after getting …

Can't remember what apps, movies, TV shows, or music you bought on iTunes, when you bought it, or how much you paid? Maybe you need to reconcile your bills, keep track of the kids, or even get a refund for something that went wrong? The advantage to buying online is that it's easy to find a list of what you bought. Unlike most online stores, however, Apple doesn't make your purchase history available on the web. To find it, you have to go to iTunes on Mac or Windows! How to access your purchase history on iTunes for Mac or Windows Launch iTunes on your Mac or PC. Click on the Store tab in the top menu and select View Account. Apple's new iPhone partnership with China Mobile looks to be off to a good start with the carrier announcing it added around 1 million iPhone customers to its 4G network in just February alone. Better still, the iPhone accounted for the large majority of customers joining China Mobile's 4G service. From the Wall Street Journal: "We added 1.34 million new 4G users in February and most of them are iPhone users. We are happy with the progress as we are still building our 4G network and the coverage is only available in some major cities," China Mobile Chairman Xi Gouhua told The Wall Street Journal. 1 million is a drop in the ocean to the worlds largest carrier, b…

Hello. I stumbled over something on the net the other day about Bitcoin mining. In looking it up, I ran into a web site that looked like Microsoft, offering software to mine Bitcoins and other digital currencies; however, there was not a single link on the whole page to actually download anything. I wonder if it was a real Microsoft page. If Microsoft really does have free Bitcoin Mining software, and free software to mine other digital currencies, would you please point me directly to the download links? Thank you. 20 March 2014 P.S. I found the web site: http://apps.microsoft.com/windows/en-us/app/bitcoin-miner/cd9a3350-60c9-4836-a50c-…

Hello. I am currently using the FREE version of Desktop Server by serverpress.com which only allows a maximum of 3 WordPress installations at one time. Their client is really easy to instal, you just click, and 2 minutes later, you're setting up WordPress in xampp lite. However, they charge $99 a year for a license to go unlimited! That is way off my budget. I'm using it for personal hobby web sites, not business. I'm running Desktop Server for WordPress development in a Dell D600 and also in an IBM Lenovo T42, both with Windows XP Pro SP3, and I won't be upgrading at "End of Life". I understand Microsoft has some kind of FREE software for running WordPress …

I have a problem. I have a number of sub-folders in one master folder (more than 60) and in each of the sub-folders, I have the same file but it is mislabeled. Now, I did a batch rename of the files, but now they all have a (1) after them. Is there was way to batch correct the file name to eliminate the (1)? To help illustrate my problem, I've tried to diagram out my folder. Master Folder A Sub Folder A - file name AAA Sub Folder B - file name AAA Sub-Folder C - file name AAA ...and on it goes. As I said, I have 60 sub-folders under master folder A. What I did to change the file names was, I did a search under master folder A fo…

Quite some time ago - a couple of months - I hibernated my windows system, which I have never done before (just leave it running). It uses an Asus P6T Deluxe motherboard. Windows 7 64-bit "Ultimate". On restarting, many things were not right. I have corrected the "many things" with re-installs of software, but now I can't do Windows Update, getting error message 80073712. I have tried at least: - "sfc /scannow": 'Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation.' - running a Repair (from the windows install disk, \setup.exe): "Windows Installer has stopped working", "C000009c". I ran it as Administrator. - the "System Update Readiness Too…

Security Essentials recognizes them ask to send to Mirosoft a report for further investigation then ask me to reboot and over and over repeats the cycle. Apparently when the virus is deleted it automatically copies itself back and restarts itself. In task manager I have stopped the process - it restarts over and over and over again. I have seen this before - delete it and it reappears, delete it and it reappears. Antimaleware byte took care of it but definition are outdated and right now I am low on funds for the premiem version I run 7 professional on an i5. Obviously Security Essentials is going through the same iteration, detect - clean …

You will find following message in your inbox from infoaxe.net or fliporamail.com. If you are getting such emails, don’t click on any Links or Buttons. Technically this isn’t exactly a virus or scam or information phishing scheme, it sure seems like Search engine hijacker. Flip, Flipora, Filporamail and Infoaxe are all the same company. The service they apparently offer is to track your web browsing habits and suggest ads and search results and other websites based on what sites you visit. It is likevoluntarily signing up to have spyware or malware on your computer. The worst thing about this “service” is that when you sign up you directly give them access to your …
