Today I received that god forsaken message "you have 350 mB left" from kali; in my infinite wisdom, I decided to run Code: sudo apt-get autoremove to remove ~250 mB... Unfortunately I was using gnome... My compute decided it was high time to make my life hell, and uninstalled gnome :shock: and network-manager :x. I proceeded to spend the next several hours attempting to dig up a linux live cd. After it FINALLY loaded, I decided to chroot into my kali system and attempt to install gnome again. Unfortunately, when I booted up into Kali, it lacked wifi access :( but at least had the GUI. So, I started up the CD drive again and booted into ubuntu... Upon entering I chroote…

Dear experts, I have introduced a new HW and transferred the discs from the old HW to the new one and have updated from SuSe V12.2 to V13.1. I planned to copy my old smbconf, adapt a few paths but I only get a network mount but no access ("access denied" from my Win XP and 7 clients alike). First I thought "permissions" but they are fine, locally all users have access and also a newly created folder on my boot disc behaves exactly the same way. I think I have deleted the win7 partition on my machine. I used the prerelease and when it ran out I tried to revert to win7 but now I cannot. I cannot duel boot and am having difficulty using my Install media that I made when I first got my machine. So I want to go back to 7 which is what my machine shipped with. Summary. So i have my computer and Apply TV on an HDMI switch hooked to my screen, the apple tv works just fine but when i switch to windows the playback devices show the HDMI cable as not connected and will not play me any sound(Shows like it disabled ) Here is where it gets strange, im viewing the TV on the HDMI cable so its clearly working and even odder is when i reboot it see's the HDMI screen and works just fine, until i use the switch then its back to disabled sound. My antivirus software said I was behind in Microsoft patches so I uploaded and applied them. There was some sort of error and it corrupted my admin account password. My power supply died so I had to replace it. Once it was replaced, I started up the PC and keep getting "Startup Repair Offline" errors when it tries to fix any problems. It won't allow me to bypass the Startup Repair. I've tried backing it up to as far back as a week but it's not fixing the problem. I've tried going into safe mode, I've tried just going into the normal everyday mode, but nothing is working.
