The Story Leather Genuine Side Flip Wallet Case for iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s features a moderate amount of protection while maintaining a higher end look and feel. It's also got some features that make it stand out from similar offerings, and here's why... One of the features I like most about the Story case is that you've got a cutout in the front of the case for the earpiece. This is great for times when you want to talk on your iPhone but don't want the case open. A common problem with many flip cases is that you have to fold them over awkwardly when talking on the phone. This isn't the case. Just answer your call, close the case, and carry on your conversation. …

The MacBook Air and MacBook Pro are both great devices to get work done while you're on the road, but in order to get anything done online you only have one choice: Wi-Fi. Why doesn't Apple offer 4G LTE as an option on those devices, too? When I'm out with my laptop, I'm often within the range of a Wi-Fi network - a local Starbucks perhaps, or the public Wi-Fi hotspot of the sandwich place I'm getting lunch. But there are other occasions where I'm completely without any Wi-Fi access, or Wi-Fi costs something to use. I'm fortunate enough to have a wireless service plan that includes a couple of gigabytes of data per month and personal hotspot service, so I usually wh…

Christian Bale, the man who brought Batman to life for Christopher Nolan and Patrick Bateman for American Psycho is now rumored to be director David Fincher (Fight Club, The Social Network)'s top choice to play Steve Jobs in the Sony biopic being written by Aaron Sorkin (The West Wing, The Social Network). Fincher, however, hasn't signed on to Direct the Steve Jobs movie yet, so how much this matters, if at all, is unclear. Jeff Sneider, writing for The Wrap: Oscar winner Christian Bale is David Fincher's choice to play Steve Jobs in the untitled movie that Aaron Sorkin has written for Sony, an individual familiar with the project has told TheWrap. The gist is …

The vivofit by Garmin is a fitness tracker that not only tracks distance, calories burned, and steps — it lasts on one charge for an entire year. Slap it on your wrist and never worry about charging it. But are the features and functionality a match for the awesome battery life? Let's see! One of the first things I noticed about the Garmin vivofit is that it has the exact same type of clasp as the Fitbit Flex. Anyone who has read that review knows I'm not a huge fan. My main reason against them is that they're super easy to get snagged on clothes or exercise equipment. Sometimes you don't notice this happens and the tracker can get lost. I've even had it fall off in my…

No matter how I've tried, it says "windows movie maker is now publishing your movie and saving it to a recordable CD" despite checking"save to computer" option. Also it uses the HighMAT extension- I don't know how I got it, WMM didn't use it before. I've checked and there was the option with "automatically download codecs" checked. I would uninstall this extension if I could, but I do not know how - I didn't find anything with a similar name in Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs. My operating system is Microsoft Windows version 5.1., 2007, XP 32-bit, Service Pack 3. I installed again KLite Codecs Pack, but it didn't help me at all. I would be really gratef…

I've been looking at some of the info on using Easy Transfer going from XP to Win7, and it is confusing; so, I'm confused and hope that someone out there knows the answers. (1). I downloaded teh program and ran it; it appears to be different than what is in Wn7 and in a tutorial: Are they? It just shows that User and Shared files are being saved but doesn't show me what files. And there doen't appear to be anyway to look in the .MIG file to see what is there. (2) After a clean install of WIn7, iit says to run Easy Transfer to restore files but I don't see anything about how to do that? (3) Also, every report that I've read, except one, says to first do the restore an…

Was told that a Surface RT would be a great asset to my business (service tech to water & waste water industry) Instead of carrying a bulky laptop the RT would give me the same functionality in a smaller package. Purchased item at large office retailer who set it up and loaded Dropbox for me. I carry over 4000 excel files and have several associates using Dropbox and a number of clients who receive large reports from me via Dropbox. My files downloaded to the RT without problem, open in a locked mode, unlock & edit becomes available...great!!! BUT when I go to save the revised form it will not let me back into Dropbox, only to Skydrive. Skydrive may be a viab…

Hello, I have a question about how Windows 7 deals with USB/MIDI Inputs. Recently, I had just bought a new Alesis Vortex USB/MIDI Keytar Controller and decided to hook it up to my computer to run the Patch Editing Software and Virtual Instruments Software that I had gotten with it. But when I opened up the Firmware Upgrade for the Vortex and the Patch Editor, it told me that there were no MIDI devices connected to the computer. I didn't know what was wrong because I connected my USB cable to my Vortex and I changed the USB ports on my computer each time. The Alesis Quick Start Guide said that the Device and Software are compatible with Windows XP through 8, and that…

I have (used to have) Windows 7 Home Premium x64 on a Dell Inspiron N5030 laptop. No crazy formatting or anything. Just the factory default 3 partitions on the internal HD (Partition 1-OEM or something; Partition 2-System Recovery; Partition 3-OS C:). One 1 TB external HD, 2 4-8 GB flash drives. 4 days ago, I stupidly decided to use TrueCrypt to encrypt the system partition (which I assume means Harddisk0\Partition3 and NOT all of Harddisk0) AND Partition2. When I tried to decrypt, it seemingly erased Partition 3 because when I boot it says "Operating System Missing". Unfortunately, I think it also erased the System recover on partition 2 (When I stuck my Repair disk in, …

Hello, As of this morning I've noticed a window appearing on my desktop with a window title "Administrative message" (I will post a link to a screenshot of the window due to the fact that the window contains cursing.). Every time this appears it closes the active window, so if Skype is currently active and this window pops-up, no more skype. You can safely close the pop-up, but it will come back generally 30 seconds later. (This goes for all things, including the desktop) I'm speculating this is a script that is causing this, as Windows Security Essentials (And another anti-virus software) failed to locate any malware or viruses. This happens everytime Windows boots …

Said you do not have access to this. Don't really remember what I did but I got my flash drives out quick and saved all my files and think I ran a restore anyway and walked away when I came back it looked like it froze so I or kept spinning. So I just shut down. Next day I turned on and everything was OK I went to Security Essentials ran a check and come to find out my updates for security essentials ha…
