Okay I have been having this problem too. I have this stupid Snap.do redirect on my google chrome and it is SO FRUSTRATING! I think it came up after my internet suddenly exited and came back on twice in a row (not even allowing me any time to click anywhere). It was really weird and kind of scary. Then when I closed chrome and opened it again, I'd get these extensions and realize I was having ads on websites I normally didn't! I have recently downloaded Windows 8,1 I now have a security issue where my internet browser defaults to www.feed.helper.com. I have Norton virus protection installed and have also tried using Microsoft malware on this site but it states I have no threats. Not great at computing so struggling a bit to get this off. Hi, a few weeks ago i had a power failure in my house that has damaged my desktop, since this had corrupted my OS. I couldn't do anything on grub rescue, so i had to reinstall Linux again. In order to prevent losing all my stuff and recover my OS, should i install some grub packages in order to obtain more resources for when that happen again or should i backup my OS? Hi, i'm using google chrome and when i want a downloaded file to be shown in folder, it redirects me to a index page of the same folder on my browser and it doesn't open any folder in my desktop. Hello, I just finished running "yum update" on my Fedora 19 Linux box. As the messages were scrolling on my monitor, I noticed that there were some errors. I didn't know how to capture those errors (something about not able to download files and accessing mirror sites) to find out if I could fix them. I let the update complete but was wondering if there was anything in a log file that needed attention. Does "yum update" log errors to a file? If so, where is it logged? Continue reading...

No matter how I've tried, it says "windows movie maker is now publishing your movie and saving it to a recordable CD" despite checking"save to computer" option. Also it uses the HighMAT extension- I don't know how I got it, WMM didn't use it before. I've checked and there was the option with "automatically download codecs" checked. I would uninstall this extension if I could, but I do not know how - I didn't find anything with a similar name in Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs. I've been looking at some of the info on using Easy Transfer going from XP to Win7, and it is confusing; so, I'm confused and hope that someone out there knows the answers. (1). I downloaded teh program and ran it; it appears to be different than what is in Wn7 and in a tutorial: Are they? It just shows that User and Shared files are being saved but doesn't show me what files. And there doen't appear to be anyway to look in the .MIG file to see what is there. Was told that a Surface RT would be a great asset to my business (service tech to water & waste water industry) Instead of carrying a bulky laptop the RT would give me the same functionality in a smaller package.
